Cyberpunk: Edgerunners | Rebecca β
they should have adapted daphne du maurier's rebecca with the muppets

I had to do a screen shot redraw omg I had so much fun with this
I finished reading "Rebecca," and I can definitely see how this book inspired a lot of songs on Folklore and Evermore. But to go even further, here's a quote I found of Daphne du Maurier talking about the Menabilly house she lived in that inspired Manderley in the book, and I'm getting such Taylor Swift Folklore vibes from this!
Also, du Maurier died in 1989, the year Taylor Swift was born

October Book Review - Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
So, the descriptions of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier say things like "an exceptional piece of literature with a thrilling mystery of death, ghosts and unending suspense." or "The novel depicts an unnamed young woman who impetuously marries a wealthy widower, before discovering that both he and his household are haunted by the memory of his late first wife, the title character."
So, I read it and there are no ghosts.
It has a creepy housekeeper, a 40-year-old guy who marries a 20-year-old girl, and a lot of people who never have a proper conversation. No ghost.

Frenchman's Creek was better.

Pia Douwes and Maya Hakvoort in the same roles
Note1: I couldn't find pics of Maya as Velma and Milady, so I have to leave that to everyone's imagination
Note2: while they played the same character in 3 musketiere, the productions were not the same, they were different musicals by different writers/composers, based on the same story. Unfortunately I couldn't find much information about the St. Gallen one with Maya from 2000
Note3: just to make it clear, I didn't make this post to compare them to each other (apparently people like to do that, at least in the comment section of YouTube), I love both of them very much and I think they're both freaking talented and stunning
