Cult of the Lamb idea I had ages ago but with the new dlc I feel it's relevant
So, we very clearly play the game on an island or some sort of continent, right? Plimbo I believe mentions going out and doing trades in other places aside from our continent so there are other land masses out there
Now, Jalala comes from the sea, confirming that even if Plimbo doesn't do that already. She shows up and knows NOTHING about the Bishops, which implies that their religion is not spread worldwide.
Next comes the part I think is funny:
What if the Bishops just assumed that their religion is worldwide and that every single lamb was slaughtered when they gave the order and didn't check?
What I mean is: what if there actually are more lambs out there and the Bishops were just delusional about our Lamb being the last one?
Sure, they're the last one on the continent, but they're not the LAST last Lamb, yunno?
Alongside this, there could also be other living gods out there. That opens up the possibility of more bosses and more followers.
I dunno, I just think it's funny that the Bishops might have not killed all of the lambs like they thought

Finished playing through the new Bishop questlines and now I'm not sure if I'm going to include them in my AU
I like to think that the questlines happen years after the Bishops are brought back and my story is set literally months after they bring Shamura back. So I guess I'll leave it up to a "it happens off-screen" thing when I finish the story
Another thing: the Lamb believes in letting death happen naturally in this AU and the Bishops don't have the immortal trait because of a lore thing that Shamura helpfully explains in a later chapter :). So the questlines from this update will probably happen when the Bishops are all old people or something.
Anyways. That's my thoughts on how I'll integrate the new update in my AU
Started a co-op cult with each of my little brothers today and omg it's so fun (I played as the Goat because I wanted to)
I might do some art of what we got up to later :)
But yeah, my brothers and I had fun playing and our cults are already growing strong
My youngest brother and I already defeated Barbatos (he chose easy mode) while my other brother and I are only on Valefar (he chose medium difficulty)
Highly recommend playing with family, it's so fun
I have to call my dentist to reschedule an appointment wahhhhhhhh

re-reading what I've written for Narinder in the chapters I've posted for my AU for accurate chapter summaries (chapter 5 has been uploaded a couple hours ago btw) makes me realize how much of a reluctant father figure I've written
like, yeah, sure, this is a found family story, but godDAMN is that cat a father figure
spoilers for my fic below the cut, btw
Baal arrives injured and the first thing Narinder does is get first-time parent paralysis and can't do anything to help his baby boy because he's freaking out too much. and so when someone finally gives him something to do, he does it EXCESSIVELY
to the point where when Grima asks him to go clean Baal's robes because he's not doing anything, he locks himself in the laundry building and sits there and scrubs at the bloodstains like a crazy person ALL NIGHT
and then he sits in his house for hours, worrying about how his son will perceive him now that he's mostly settled into mortal life and then he goes and sits with his son, gives him the good ol' "nice job, sport" and then sits with him for the rest of his night, probably smelling like doo doo because he still hasn't changed his clothes since the night Baal is brought back (two days ago, basically)
and then there's Baal.
he wakes up, says some nasty shit to the Lamb because they hurt his father figure (no, he doesn't care that his father figure betrayed the first, he's gonna stick by his dad- I mean master!), and then is in-and-out of sleep for a while. and then when he finally can't sleep during the night time, because- uh oh! -turns out he didn't like silence back then, he just liked silence and the company of others, he begs his visiting father figure to stay because he doesn't like being alone
these stupid cats have my heart and I can't wait to forcefully insert the Lamb into the cute little dynamic they already have
anyways, it's currently 12 am and I can't sleep so I'm thinking about reluctant father figure Narinder and reluctant (but not really) son figure Baal (soon to be reluctant (but not really) son figure Aym too!)
I wanna talk about family members of my characters so that's what I'm gonna do

mother's side:
Count George "Junior" Carsworth II (grandfather (human)) - he is the reason the family home in Greyor, Hioawn is so grand. he started an all new merchant business in his 20s with a few buddies and made his family fortune bigger. this causes a lot of nobility to consider the Carsworths new money, despite his family being quite old money. he and Elsie are the closest out of his grandchildren but he adores his family
Countess Helena Carsworth (grandmother (human)) - the late wife of Count Carsworth, she was such a good mother to her kids to the point that she managed to stay in her kids' lives despite living so far away. her kids miss her dearly, and the grandkids who met her miss her too
Count George "Georg" Carsworth III (uncle (human)) - as the oldest child and only son of the Carsworth couple, he was spoiled rotten. he took over his father's business when he retired, thus allowing him to inherit the manor for him and his family, which helps because he ended up with five kids with his wife
Baroness Millicent Revera (aunt (human)) - she was the middle child and craved her parent's affection. she loves high society and enjoys a good piece of gossip. she loves the fact that she married the richest out of her siblings (well, not richest, her sister married the king after all, but she sure married second richest out of the three of them) and is always bragging about how rich her husband is. she adores her kids and wants them to have a good life, but her mothering has moved to Penelope now that her youngest is 18 (note by me: her personality is based off of Miss Bennett from Pride and Prejudice, lol)
Countess Vistra Carsworth (aunt by marriage (dwarf)) - she married into the Carsworth family to get away from her own. she thought that Hioawn would be the best way to get away and fell in love with George III. she loves helping him run the family business and she loves her five sons dearly, even if she highly dislikes a couple of her sons's chosen partners (stupid elves trying to marry into her family grrr). she's a good aunt, but definitely is the type of aunt to encourage her nieces and nephews to do stupid shit because that's what she did when she was their age
Baron Abram Revera (uncle by marriage (human)) - he comes from a very old family that runs the biggest manufacturer in the country. as such, he needed to marry big. luckily, Millicent was willing and they were married as soon as they could. he loves his family, but he is not the most affectionate. he struggles with being an affectionate father to his kids and struggles showing his wife affection as well. he does his best, though
Count George Carsworth IV (cousin (half-dwarf)) - as the oldest son of his parents, he is the heir to the Carsworth family business. currently, he lives in the capital of the country with his wife and kids in order to run the branch of the business there. speaking of his family, his wife Alice is his life and he adores her. they've been married 7 years now and he can't wait to continue being married to her for the rest of their lives. he has two kids with another on the way. his oldest is Daisy who is 5 and George V who is 2. he loves his kids and is guilty of buying his kids very expensive toys because they gave him the puppy dog eyes
Count Damien Carsworth I (cousin (half-dwarf)) - he lives a couple towns over form the capital with his two sons and fiancee where he also runs a branch of the family business. his first wife, Ellene, died in childbirth with his twin sons, Damien II and Oscar, and it crushed him. however, now that his boys are 4, he has recently gotten engaged to Duchess Lydia Braveheart who's husband died before her own son's birth. he loves her and his future step-son, but he still is doing his best to focus on his work
Count Gibson Carsworth (cousin (half-dwarf)) - he also runs a branch of the family business but a lot farther away from the capital than his older brothers. he doesn't particularly like doing this, but he does it because he has to. he married Dawn despite his mother's hatred of her and has two daughters with her, Mildred (6) and Edith (3), and they have another on the way. he doesn't really see his family that often due to how his mother treats his wife, though he is very loyal to his brothers and cousins. he would drop everything in order to help them, however on the other side he would drag his feet if his parents ask him to do anything for them
Count Octavius Carsworth (cousin (half-dwarf)) - he is the second youngest son and was known as a 'ladies man' in his teen years. he currently has a fiancee named Agnes, though he does still like taking glances at other women ("just 'cause you're on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the menu" he claims when confronted). his branch of the family business is in the town next to his hometown so he is able to visit his parents more often than his brothers
Count Brutus Carsworth (cousin (half-dwarf)) - he is the youngest of the five and is the only one not married or engaged to be married. this doesn't bother him, though, because he is secretly dating a local soldier who he knows that his parents wouldn't really like. he and Elsie are the same age and are the closest of the cousins on this side of the family. later on, they bond over the fact that they both dated a soldier in secret
Duchess Hannah Nox (cousin (human)) - she is the oldest of the two Revera children and was the one her mother ensured married up. her husband is very rich and they do love each other, but Hannah hates that her mother put so much pressure on her to marry up. she left the house as soon as she could, unfortunately leaving behind a few items but she'll end up getting those back later. she keeps in close contact with her brother and is one of only a few who know exactly what he's up to
Baron Perseus Revera (cousin (human)) - he was his mother's most recent focus, but he thankfully has escaped her watchful eye now that his cousin Penelope is at "courting age." he actually does have a secret girlfriend, but he knows that his mother would hate it if she found out he was courting someone not in the nobility. he and Penelope were close in childhood and still are (at least, the version of her that isn't plotting murder)
father's side:
(I'm excluding her grandparents because they don't really hold much importance in the girls's life)
Marquess Harrison von Stein (uncle (human)) - he ran off to another city upon age 18 to get away from the stress of being part of the royal family. he ended up falling for Elliana and they got married. they only had one son together and it was after their son was born, he reconnected with his family (mostly because his father had died and his brother became king). he doesn't visit often, but he does keep in contact with his siblings
Duchess Salma Portsmin (aunt (human)) - she was close to her father and ran off to a new home when he died. she married much later than most do (she was in her thirties) and she has three kids. she recently has become a bit paranoid after her daughter became sick while visiting the capital and doesn't leave home anymore. she loves her family but is too worried about the health of herself and her family
Marchioness Elliana von Stein (aunt by marriage (human)) - I haven't thought about her all that much, so she's unfortunately not too fleshed out
Duke Friedrich Portsmin (uncle by marriage (human)) - he also isn't too fleshed out to he's just Salma's husband oops
Marquess Icarus von Stein (cousin (human)) - he is the only son of his parents and he himself only has one son (Alexander aged 2). he married Edna mostly at his parent's request but they're a good partnership who work really well together
Duke Ronald Portsmin (cousin (human)) - he is the oldest of three and is the closest in age to Penelope. they used to be close, but they don't talk too much anymore because of his mother's paranoia. he is currently learning the ropes of the family business
Duchesses Isabella and Mary Portsmin (cousins (human)) - also aren't very fleshed out but Isabella is the one who got sick and stressed Salma out

I dunno about you guys, but something about Aym screams "short and angy"
Maybe it's because I'm only just barely over 5'3 but I see Aym as being shorter than his brother (you can see it in my drawings of him next to Baal)
Like, he's so angry and you know who else is angry? Short people
Therefore, RoH AU Aym is short
Here's how I think it goes with my four main characters of my AU-
Narinder: 6'3 at the very least. He's also taller than his siblings in my eyes, so there's that
Baal: 5'9 or 6'0. Just barely under Narinder but still tall by human standards
Aym: at the very most 5'7, very least 5'4. Short for the average man, you know?
The Lamb: at least an inch shorter than Aym. Shorter than most followers until they start ascending. They give 5'2-5'3 vibes to me (mostly because I'm the player and that's my height)
And bonus Bishops -
Shamura: I feel like they're 6'0. It just makes sense to me
Kallamar: I wanna say at most an inch shorter than Narinder because of his massive forehead. So like, 6'2 or 6'1
Heket: she's 5'11, no problem. She gives tall woman energy and I live for it
Leshy: shortest of the five at 5'8. He probably was so mad when he stopped growing at 5'8 and was shorter than his sister
Bonus bonus important followers-
Thorn: 5'6, easy money. They’re shorter than Leshy which makes him feel better about himself
Camellia: 6'0, we love a tall woman
Julian: 5'5-5'9, he just gives those vibes to me
Tregon: 5'4-5'7 because it makes sense in my head
Merna: used to be a flat 5'7 but now that she's older, she's 5'5 (slouch + bad back and all)
Edel: I wanna say 5'8 or 5'6. She's a small frog but average height, yunno?
Grima: 5'8 or 5'9. Tall healer. At the very least she's an inch taller than her wife
Poppy: in a chapter I have yet to post, Poppy comes up to Narinder’s elbow, so she's at least 3'11 or 3'10 maybe even going on 4'0
And that's all I can think off off the top of my head!

I need to ramble about Kumo (my spider follower based on Webber but with none of the Don’t Starve lore)
So I have a whole thing in my head that Kumo was in love with the most recent of the Lamb’s spouses (all of whom I need to draw again, coming soon promise) because they joined around the same time
And because he has a skull necklace, he had to watch her grow old and die while married to someone else. And despite all of that, he still worships the Lamb
Despite watching his friends die and kids he watched grow up get older and older, he still worships the Lamb
Because he knows that Death isn't the end for people who follow the Lamb
And I just think he's interesting
