"And We have commanded people to ˹honour˺ their parents. Their mothers bore them through hardship upon hardship, and their weaning takes two years. So be grateful to Me and your parents. To Me is the final return."
Your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful ˹of you˺.
This Ayah brings so much comfort. Allāh ﷻ Himself affirms us by telling that He is always there with us, irrespective of any circumstances. That people may loathe you, but your Creator ﷻ won't. That people will abandon you, but your Creator ﷻ won't. Allāh ﷻ loves us, He listens to us, He knows us. Isn't that assuring in itself? This ayat is the perfect embodiment of peace, reassurance and the love of Allah ﷻ .
"Our Lord! Grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers and do not put us to shame on Judgment Day—for certainly You never fail in Your promise.”
—Surah Aal-e-Imran [3:194]
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Verily, the supplication of a fasting person is not turned away at the time of breaking fast .”
—Sunan Ibn Mājah 1753
