i just finished this i tried making myself my own wallpaper but i think i hate it. ?
its wtv tho ive had my wallpaper as tim drake for the last like 9 months and that hyperfixation ended a while ago so
(transcription in alt text) au idea ive been playing with for like a month that will prob never get more fleshed out, wherein thomas is a prince, brenda is his personal guard, newt is a pirate captain, and minho is his co-captain. teresa and thomas were meant to have an arranged marriage when janson, the general, betrays the king (that one guy in the fever code who runs rhe organization whos name i dont remember) and queen (ava paige), killing the king in the process and keeping ava prisoner in hopes of intel on thomas' whereabouts or something. newt's parents were killed on janson's orders and then after their time spent on the streets, sonya gets arrested but newt escapes, to which he falls in with a pirate crew. the captain would be alby and alby would die leaving newt as captain (i never actually thought about HOW he'd die, i just needed a reason for newt to both have a pirate ship and crew and also be the captain. probably would have some nalby to explain newt being co-captain as well). sonya, however, escapes prison before newt can break her out with his new crew, and then she finds her own pirate crew, which just-so-happens to be a lowkey rival crew to alby/newt's crew. thats all i have but unfortunately i dont have enough patience (or experience, tbh) to write an actual fic abt it or anything so i just microwave it in my mind over and over again
anyways tumblr seems like a place that would enjoy this happy face thumbs up
and.. just in case,, if anyone would wannt to write it.... i would be very grateful and also would love to beta read. if not, i give it a 30-40% chance i start it, and an 8% chance i post it even if i do write it, and a 10% chance i finish it

ive tried to get myself to like newt with his book hair but i literally can't do it. so i compromise with a little braid (+ he matches with sonya ! :3 )
throughout the short duration of my maze runner hyperfix i would write down random thoughts/headcanons i had about them so i'll just copy-paste all of them here
- newt is crazy ticklish but he gets so irritated when someone tickles him. minho does not care
- newt cant sleep in the same room as thomas because thomas snores crazy loud and newt is a v light sleeper
- thomas has a really bad habit of chewing on his fingernails
- once newt got over them kidnapping thomas, he got along really well with group b. and they loved him too (ik him and sonya r siblings but him and harriet would be such good friends. see the vision)
- newt loves reading. i think classics would be his faves
- also good omens
- also he likes mythology
- he probably needs glasses though
- thomas and minho would probably play roblox together and like. bully kids. sometimes brenda will tag along too (shes the meanest but she also thinks roblox is dumb so she goes on it less)

Newt who can't keep his hands to himself when you're both cuddling. Newt who would pull you into his chest with your back against him so he can kiss your neck. Newt who would put his arm around your waist just to touch you. Newt who would be crazy and rambles whenever he sees you wear his shirts to cuddle or sleep (and when you ask him why, he says "you look hot- i mean beautiful, wait i didn't mean it like your not hot, cause you are hot, i mean- your hot- wait that's not the point- but you look bloody amazing with my shirt"). Newt who can't sleep without you in his arms. Newt who would be very clingy and glued to you when both of you are alone (he's starved for your attention and affection). Newt who doesn't have a 'favourite cuddle position' but he loves it so much when you rest your head on his chest and just lay there. Newt who runs his fingers through your hair and leave a bunch of kisses all over your face whenever he gets the chance. Newt who will always pull you back onto the bed and back into his arms if you try to leave or stop cuddling. ("Newt we have to get up! Newt who doesn't mind being a big spoon or the little spoon when you're both cuddling. Newt who likes it when his arms are securely around your waist & his face in your hair when he's being the big spoon. Newt's arms will be the place you wake up every morning. Newt who would ask if he can play with your hair every time you're both cuddling (he wants to make sure you're giving him consent even tho you've reassured him that he doesn't need to ask that). Newt who would randomly compliment you when your almost asleep ("your so beautiful. like really bloody beautiful, love"). Newt who would sometimes talk in his sleeps because he gets nightmares when he's cuddling you ("please stay, please. don't go. stay with me." "i'm not going anywhere love"). Newt who would easily get sleepy when you run your hands through his hair. Newt who would fall asleep on top of you, then wakes up only to ask if you're okay, if he made you uncomfortable, and why didn’t you wake him up in his raspy sleepy voice. Newt who would have a staring contest with you and then make stupid faces so you laugh and he wins the contest (later on he tease you about it). Newt who would stay up with you and just have deep conversations as you both cuddle when you can't sleep ("why do people has to lose the person they love first, to realize they're bloody value and worth? doesn't make sense, what do you think?").

Is it a terribly dark day, or is it just you? You’re used to life in the Maze. You’re used to the constant feeling of never being able to fully relax, all because of the walls shading your back with every step you take. Sure, you can hang out with your friends, and laugh and joke all you want, but at the end of the day you’re still stuck in the Glade, with no way out. It’s wearing on you today, this knowledge. It’s wearing on everyone.
Everyone can sense it, too. Eventually Alby has had enough of seeing everyone moping around and announces that there’s going to be a Bonfire Night later in the day, which makes the Gladers perk up a little. Bonfire Nights are usually reserved for Greenie Days or particularly thrilling celebrations, so the fact that Alby’s given in and let one happen tonight should say enough about the overall atmosphere of the Glade.
