what's your opinion on hybe's new girl group katseye? (throw all your arguments at me, i'm ready)
i personally think that calling a group with only one korean member that was produced with mostly american labels and based in los angeles a k-pop group is strange because there are non k-pop groups with korean members in them and that doesn't make them k-pop
(e.g: anderson .paak is half-korean, but he isn't a k-rapper)
also the fact that katseye's debut song is only 2 min is extremely rude (wtf happened to making songs that have an actual decent runtime? has humanity's average attention span decreased so much that making a long song is practically impossible?)
and how bang pd said he wanted to take the k out of k-pop is pissing me off too (like if i wanted non korean k-pop i'll literally just listen to taylor swift, stop trying to market k-pop for a casual audience who doesn't give a shit about k-pop if it's korean)
tl;dr i don't like katseye's debut and i probably won't be listening to any of their music
