i must confess, i care so much it bleeds out of me like a broken faucet this stubborn heart demands to break in every moment i toss a care to the birds flying together into an infinite sky another to the gas station attendant with the tired eyes and genuine-sounding "have a good one" a dozen to my sister over text and a few more to every stranger i see this world is full of painful beauty i mean there is beauty even amidst all this pain i mean there is something worth caring about even in a world of birds-turned-roadkill and gas station attendants that just stop showing up to work one day i hope they both have flown away into a new, more colorful place i hope wherever they are, it is beautiful, it feels beautiful
