If I were Bilbo I would spend the rest of my life (or however long it takes) getting back all the shit they unjustly auctioned off. Can you imagine returning home from literal war only to find all your neighbors hijacking your shit? I’d be unbelievably pissed.

June 22nd - Bilbo returns home, only to find out he has been declared dead and his belongings are being auctioned
About two weeks ago, I finished The Hobbit, and I have to admit that the story is still lingering with me a bit. This is partly because the book managed to completely replace the visual imagery from the films in my head with new ones, which rarely happens. It’s also because the story itself is just so different compared to the movies.
(Yes, the movies are still stuck in my mind as well. They left an impression back then because they simply weren’t that good, and there were a lot of things in them that bothered me!)
Of course, we shouldn’t forget that The Hobbit is a children's book, but even as an adult, you can take a lot from it and really enjoy it. In the future, if someone wants to start reading fantasy, I’ll definitely recommend The Hobbit, because it’s kind of like a "light" version of The Lord of the Rings, and it’s a great way to find out if the genre is right for you. Plus, a lot of it isn’t as exaggerated or over the top as in many other stories.
At the moment, I’ve started reading The Lord of the Rings, but I’m not reading actively right now, as I’ve also started the first book of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series. Unfortunately, I haven’t decided yet which one I’ll continue with. Maybe I’ll slip in a Fear Street novel in between, just to unwind and relax a bit before diving back into the heavier stuff.
I was always wondering, why a lot of people thought, the Hobbit films were just OK. About 200 pages into the book I start to understand why. Totally different tone and the film overdoing a lot, that is just small bit in the book + all the unnecessary extra stuff & characters!
Well, I finally did my first and hopefully not my last sketch with them, yay.
I have a huge thank you to everyone who still, so many years after the movie came out, continues to create all this great Hobbit content in so many different genres. It's amazing! Thank you!
