Honestly I love how in TGWDLM, you can see that Hidgens is crazy but if you have no context of his other appearances, you can go “okay it’s kinda sad tho maybe he’s a good guy but years of isolation drove him to think the apocalypse was a better alternative than fighting against the aliens”- but then Nightmare Time episode 1 came and onward we’re all like “Never mind he’s nuts and murderer.”-

Like it’s really funny and interesting to me, to think back to how TGWDLM was his only appearance where he could label as a sympathetic anti hero because we don’t see him kill anyone or really have malicious intent there, he’s just misguided by his absurd beliefs. But now? Yeah to quote Ted, “this guy’s fucking nuts”. Still love him tho.
