Hatching - Tumblr Posts
While considering the design of the next character who's showing up to this business I wanted him to have something tattooed on his head and came up with the snake thing at the top of this image, and then I remembered there'd be several more characters in future whose designs reference some animal or another so I decided to go on a bit of an artistic tangent and design them all so I could reference them later.
They are all to scale with each other but with no human reference so as an aid: the giraffe thing at the far left is, not counting the horns, a bit under 5.5 metres (which is a bit over 18 feet).
Forgot to do a post here featuring all of them so here it is now. Hopefully more guys of this kind incoming this year.
I felt like putting effort into tagging today (procrastination is hitting hard) so I went way beyond the tag limit and tumblr ate them lol; post looks naked now.
My other drawing for the assignment that I did the night before and did not finsh. Its supposed to be 2 in one cause I thought drawing them on the same page would save time. Subconsciously anyways ahaha . Sorry its on its side I don’t know why it keeps doing that. EDIT- oh its just on my phone that its weird lol. OH and the art work was on libido- yeah, go figure right ahaha

Day 1 of Inktober!!! This year with a dip pen! I just got my dip pen this summer and ITS SO PRETTY, and also smoothh! Hoping I can improve my skills this month in hatching!

Well then, let me show you, because that’s what I do for a living.
Right now, it’s this time of the year, and the little ones have just freshly hatched:
You’ll notice they’re still blind and naked when they hatch. So I make them little coats to keep them warm during their first winter:
See how they happily line up to put them on:
See? Better. Now they’re ready to go and explore the world.
And if they make it through the winter and we take good care of them, they will grow up to be strong and wise like their older fellows:

Day 5 - Eriol
Hey look, it's actually one of my characters. XD So yeah. About an hour of photoshop crashes later... eAe Sheesh, I was considering just dumping an unedited thing up here it was so bad eAE Probably need to restart PC or something... Anyway! So yeah. This... is Eriol. Did something a little different from the others as far as traditional goes, and that is to say I didn't do any major digital overhauling aside from a bit of cleanup and adding a texture overlay on top. And no color. XD Yeah that's a first... Since I did a lot of hatching/shading traditionally with this one, I figured color would just be redundant. So yeah. A true pen drawing this time.
