I just wondering what are your thoughts on KdFd? （✿ ͡◕ ᴗ◕)つ━━✫・*。 ⊂　　 ノ 　　　・゜+.🐧

First of all, sorry for taking so long but I really needed organize my thoughts before giving an answer. [I love them so much that it was hard to decide where start]

I’m not really fan of this kind of ships…but KdFd was/is one of my few exceptions.

Honestly, the ship deserve all the fans that it have because: their development was amazing, they had a lot of drama/sad moments, it was easy get in Kidou & Fudou’s shoes to understand what they were feeling and their ending was satisfactory. [I mean, yes…they canonically only end as good friends…but we all know that gay ships hardly get something more than a vague implication]

About the characters that comprises the ship…oh boy.

Kidou…I love all the development of his relationship with Fudou. It wasn’t fast and neither forced…I mean, even after the match with Korea he still had some mixed feelings about him, something that was realistic, we are talking about Kidou after all…someone that can’t leave the past behind so easily.

He slowly started to understand the “snarky/no-filter like” comments of Fudou and show his interest in getting along with him. He started to reply them even if Fudou wasn’t talking to him and he even started to smile with some of those comments. 

It’s a big change if you consider that Kidou was about start a punch fight with him because he couldn’t even stand Fudou’s presence…and like I said before, it wasn’t forced…it’s was natural.

[I’ll like to talk more about his changes with Fudou but this post would be like a testament if I do it lol]

Fudou…I love how hard he tried to get close to Kidou. He never gave up even if he got hurt in the way. He tried to do it his own way without exposing how much that affects him and because he really doesn’t really know how to get close to someone…how to make a true friend. BUT what I love the most…are two things:

- When he said that “he doesn’t need a combined hissatsu” but then he did everything he could to actually have his first new hissatsu with Kidou. Even Kazemaru left it pretty clear that all this time Fudou was watching them to synchronize his speed and movements to manage to do it.

- His perseverance in the whole arc before and during the Italy/Kageyama’s Arc. He could’ve left Kidou alone while his feelings were consuming him, but he didn’t. He knew that Kidou would only be harsh with him and wouldn’t want his help but he still decided to go alone to help him. He even kept his idea to have a new hissatsu with him…someone that was pretty clear about not trusting him nor wanting to stay close to him. [Nobody can convince me that Fudou didn’t like Kidou at this point of the story].

Also, KdFd is a ship where the fandom doesn’t make the most out of it. They have a lot of content yet to explore. To name just a few examples:

Fudou and his problems with depression [Because it’s obvious that Akio must have depression]. 

Kidou’s pain after Kageyama’s death or when he found out that Kageyama was alive. 

Fudou’s jealous side…something REALLY underrated and unpopular between the fans [Ahem…📢 SAKUMA JUST WANTED TO PROTECT HIS FRIEND, HE WASN’T BEING JEALOUS, IT HAS MORE SENSE THAT FUDOU IS THE JEALOUS TYPE].

Like I said, they are a few examples but you can make lots of stuff with only one of them. How they will deal with it, how it will affect their relationship, etc.

And…that is all.

But to make a summary about it:

I ship FdKd because I love their development , their interactions and how much Fudou tried to get close to Kidou to helps him. ;;💜

Bitterness.

Distrust.

Betrayal.

They were the only things that he got from Kidou, and yet, he could not stop worrying about him. The pain in his chest grew with each passing minute, while he was judged by those eyes that his teammate kept hidden, and Fudou believed he would never see.

It would have been so easy to solve it with the truth, but he was well aware that it was impossible with Kidou. He knew it from the moment they crossed paths again, and he reconfirmed it when Kidou mistrusted him without a second thought. The mere mention of his ex-mentor made him assume the worst and deny any explanation before Fudou could even think about an argument against his accusations.

What was the point of explaining something to someone that would never understand? Of telling the truth if they'll never trust your words? Of loving someone who only thinks about the worst in you?

The answer was easy: There wasn't.

It was pointless explaining him that he wasn't working for Kageyama, and he actually wanted to show him on his whole face that he wasn't a second rate amateur. Because any kind of friendship they've tried to establish during these months, always broke down whenever Kidou doubted him. His reasons and explanations didn't matter if Kidou kept living in the past, looking at the shadow that Shin Teikoku left on his back.

"I wish I could hate you..." he whispered for himself, observing Kidou sneaking out of the dorms. He didn't need to ask, neither follow him to know where he was going. Fudou knew perfectly well that Kidou was returning to the Argentina zone to keep investigating about Kageyama.

"...but I can't."

Concerned about whatever was going on in the mind of the playmaker, Fudou grabbed his soccer ball and headed down to wherever Kidou was going. Knowing there were probably more accusations waiting, with ice cold stares, full with bitterness.

But he didn't care.

His only concern was to avoid letting Kidou fall in the darkness, again.
