I have always struggled with names, picking new ones on a whim, never introducing myself. I have since become a bit complacent and used my birth-name at work a lot, but it feels distant, disassociating just to say two words. I've been pondering on a true name for myself for a long long time, but I do just wish to be nameless, because there is no name without expectation, without judgement, without confinement.

No one should have to tell anyone their dead name. It's a dead name for a reason. No one needs to know it bc it's not your name and why do they want to know? I see so many things like 'if you wont tell me your dead name then you don't trust me enough and you're not a good friend/s/o'. But for why like it's so annoying if you won't be a friend to that person because they won't tell you what their dead name is then your the bad friend. Leave it alone it's called a dead name for a reason.
