Okay, I know this is a bad thing, but I NEVER click off fanfics after I start them. Doesn’t matter if they’re great as hell start to finish, go downhill, or stay shit, I can’t. Usually I find a way to enjoy them either for its unintentional comedic value or if they’re actually really great. Still, one of the things that gets me so close to clicking off is Spanish used incorrectly sometimes.
Like I can imagine it’s the same for other people and other languages too, but I can’t stand when people forget the accents on some things, or mix up formal words and casual ones in a context where it doesn’t make sense. Or mixing up regions, like different countries use diff words and wording in Spanish…think of it a bit like American English and British English(so many diff words for one thing yk). It pains me SO damn much. I know Spanish and I can always tell if someone knows the language or is just using Google translate. I see you 👀
