While Astarion looked back at the TV, Elegy gained a faraway look in her eye. It was an expression that Enver recognized by now: she was piecing together a plan, most likely something that was wonderfully vicious. “Plotting something?” he murmured. She blinked and refocused on him. “Maybe. For whenever these damn conventions are over.” On the screen, the Stelmane and Ravengard families continued to smile and wave as confetti and balloons rained down on them.

The BG3 companions and the horse-riding disciplines that I (a certified horse girl) would assign them:
Wyll: I know a dressage rider when I see one. That man has been in dressage competitions since he was a kid and he doesn’t win them because his father is the duke; he’s just that good. Also the horses love him bc he brings them treats every day. He’s also just so selfless like he mucks out a bunch of stables to give the stable hands a break.
Gale: Gale has not yet passed the novice level. He rides an old riding school cob that plods around at a snails pace. Once, his horse attempted to roll over with Gale still on its back. It did a number on his knee and his confidence.
Karlach: She is discipline-less. She rides bareback and bridle-less and only rides for leisure. She rides a stallion but they have a strong bond. She is the horse girl from all the movies who tames the wild horse probably.
Lae’zel: She’s a jockey. She lives for the competitiveness of it. She also has a very strong bond with her horse, whom she taught to bite and kick the other competitors. (Bonus: I think Lae’zel would also really love jousting).
Shadowheart: Shart is a very talented show-jumper. She owns a very bitchy mare but they are also best friends. She goes on regular trail rides and hangs out with her horse all the time. She LOVES to braid her mane and tail.
Astarion: He actually refuses to get on or go near a horse after Shadowheart’s mare bit him one time but he secretly admires her for her attitude. Sometimes he visits her stable in secret and takes a speak with animals potion so they can gossip.
