It never comes up in the story in this manner but mimics have the gift/curse of tongues and can understand and speak every conceivable language. All of them. Dead or alive.

This also applies to languages that are invented for media like films, art, and novels, etc.

I am saying this so you know that Mark and mimic!Cesar could be watching Star Wars and mimic!Cesar would fully understand what a droid is beeping about.
