Deja Vu | Loak
Deja Vu | Lo’ak
[lo’ak x omaticaya! reader]
sypnosis: jake and neytiri can’t help but have deja vu as they watch you and lo’ak from afar.
a/n: just something short while i find the motivation to write something :,) also, decided to try a new font size. i don't know i kinda like it, kinda don't. i don't know, but hope you enjoy reading!

neytiri held a fond smile on her face as stood at the entrance of the sully tent, gazing at you and lo’ak. her eyes softened as you slapped lo’ak in the arm while also snapping at his bad posture as he drew his bow. the woman laughed quietly to herself, not at all noticing her mate coming to stand beside her.
“what’s got you in a good mood, my love?” jake questioned with a smile that mirrored his wife’s.
“just look at them,” neytiri breathed out, titling her head at the sight of you teaching lo’ak how to use his bow. “don’t they remind you-“
“of us?” jake chuckled, wrapping his buff arm around neytiri’s waist to pull her into his side. she nodded against his chest.
“(y/n) would be a perfect mate for lo’ak, hm?” she asked her husband and received a low chuckle from him. she tilted her head up with a serious expression, which caught jake by surprise. his wife was being wholeheartedly serious about the matter.
“(y/n) is really skilled in archery and even more talented with a knife. she is strong in mind and body. lo’ak would do good having a girl like her by his side, especially since he takes after his knuckleheaded father.” neytiri vouched for you, furrowing her eyes up at jake who winced at the last part of her speech.
“if you say so, yawn.” jake shrugged, before placing a kiss on neytiri’s forehead. “but they are just friends. what if they don’t want to be together?”
“ma jake,” neytiri deadpanned, pushing him away a bit. “you are a man with no awareness for love at all. look closer.” jake followed her eyes to you and lo’ak once more.
“you skxawng,” you bursted into fits of giggle as you pointed at his arrow that completely missed the target. “i told you to straighten up your back before you release the arrow!”
lo’ak’s face winced at your laughter and he brought his arm up to scratch his head in frustration. you shook your head as you continued to laugh, even bending over to soothe the quiver in your body.
when your best friend had asked you to teach him archery, you figured he would have some talent with a bow. it wasn’t until you seen his posture that you began to realize that he was not at all skilled. you felt bad for him. that is why you decided to help him, knowing that his first attempt at his rite of passage had ended up in failure.
“come, let’s try again.” you finally wheezed out after calming down a bit. you noticed that his eyes had narrowed down at you. “what? it was funny. seriously, let’s try again.”
“so you can make fun of me?” lo’ak snapped and you huffed, grabbing another arrow from his quiver and shoving it before him. “i can’t do this, (y/n). i can’t hold a bow or a knife like neteyam or my dad. no, i can’t even hold a candle to them.”
“lo’ak!” you exclaimed, slapping him in the arm with a firm frown. “of course you can’t. you’re not them. you are lo’ak te suli tsyeyk’itan, second born son of the toruk makto. it’s in your blood.”
lo’ak looked uncertain, shifting his eyes from you and the target a few feet away. your words held encouragement in them, but he still couldn’t believe that he’d be able to come close to his father or his brother. you watched as he sat on the nearest rock with a gloomy expression and slouched shoulders.
“i can’t, (y/n). you’ve heard what the villlagers said about me.” lo’ak mumbled with a heavy sigh that followed afterwards. you stared down at him with a frown.
what you saw in him was not the same thing that everyone else did. yes, maybe the villagers are right. lo’ak was reckless, different from his other siblings that were held to high standards. others constantly talked down on the poor boy, saying that lo’ak would never reach their standard. it had gotten worse after his failed attempt at his right of passage. it saddened you as lo’ak cried silently by himself with you by his side. you only wished that he could see himself the way you did.
you saw his recklessness as bravery sometimes. he’d put his life on the line for you. just like the time lo’ak stepped in between you and a viperwolf with no plan. just pure instinct to protect. you admired him for it. his sense to stand up for what was right stood out to you from that very moment. it was also in that very moment that you concluded that you were head over heels for your best friend.
“lo’ak,” you took a seat beside him and lo’ak slowly looked up into your eyes. “you are more than what they say you are.” you placed a hand on loak’s shoulder, squeezing his flesh gently to comfort him.
“you may not be as skilled as your father or your brother, but you are you and that is enough. you have a strong heart. you just have to find it in yourself to ignore what they say about you and prove them wrong. i know you can do it.”
“but-“ lo’ak was about to shoot you down, but you gripped his shoulder once more and stared him down with a hesitant look on your face.
“but nothing,” you snapped. “i see you.”
lo’ak’s lips parted in shock at your words. his eyes searched your face, noting the way they started to glimmer as your eyes were firm. your words were strong and stable. no doubt in your tone that he could be a strong warrior.
had you always been this beautiful? he thought as he only stared down at you with an unreadable expression. at this moment, lo’ak finally realized that you were no longer the girl that he had grown up with all these years. he was finally looking at you in a different light.
your once choppy hair now flowed down your back gracefully, your flesh had filled out into luscious curves, and your head had finally grown into your ears. all these years, lo’ak never noticed the growing changes that had taken over your appearance. as lo’ak peered down at your plump lips pursed into a frown and glaring eyes casted up at him, lo’ak was hit with an epiphany.
you were a woman.
a strong woman at that. you had grown to not only be beautiful on the outside, but in the inside as well. your joyous laughter when he made stupid jokes, your cheesy smile when you looked at him, or your hands that were always soft and gentle against his skin. how had he not noticed this before?
“lo’ak, are you listening?” you questioned with a raised brow. he hadn’t said anything in a minute, which made you worry a bit. was he still doubting his worth?
“no! i-i mean y-yeah, i was listening.” lo’ak’s words were jumbled up now as he snapped out of his thoughts of you. you rolled your eyes playfully, before standing up and holding out the arrow in your hand once more.
“come on, let’s try again.”
lo’ak complied with a nod, getting up off the rock and resuming his lessons. he drew the bow back and pierced his eyes into the makeshift target a few feet away. you came up beside him, drawing closer to him to fix his arm placement. you didn’t notice his shocked expression as your forehead brushed against his cheek. you positioned his arm firmly, before wrapping your other arm around his back and reminding him to straightened up with a soft pat. then, you removed your hand from his back to firmly hold up his other arm. your touch sent a shock wave through lo’ak’s body and you were too concentrated on the target to noticed his joyful, swaying tail behind him.
“whenever you’re ready.” you said titling your head up to look at him.
lo’ak watched as your eyes widened in surprise, just now realizing the close proximity. your face was inches away from his and your lips parted as you glanced down at his own lips. you shook your head and quickly pulled away from him. you nervously brushed a strand of hair behind your ear, hoping that lo’ak didn’t see your moment of weakness.
you gestured your head to the target and lo’ak resumed his position, drawing his bow back and releasing his arrow with confidence. you both watched anxiously as the arrow shot out toward the target. your eyes widened and your mouth shot open at the results. lo’ak had managed to hit the target. no, he had hit a bullseye!
“(y/n), i did it!” lo’ak exclaimed, dropping his bow in shock and your face lit up at his cheerfulness. before you knew it, you had ran up to him and engulfed him into a hug. lo’ak staggered back a bit, arms wide as he had no clue what to do. his heartbeat was fast, eyes trying to focus on anything but the way your warm embrace made him weak in the knees. after a moment of hesitation, lo’ak gathered the courage to circle his arms around your lower back. it was weak hold, but he couldn’t help it.
“i knew you could do it!” you snapped your head up to meet his eye. “lo’ak, the mighty warrior!” your teasing tone made lo’ak roll his eyes, but nonetheless, he had finally managed to make his first bullseye under your guidance.
“thanks, (y/n).” he muttered loud enough for you to hear and you silently gasped as he drew your body closer into his chest. “for believing in me when no else does.” you were silent for a minute, trying to soothe the fast beating of your heart. you tucked your face into his broad chest, smiling a bit to yourself.
“of course, lo’ak.”
unbeknownst to you, neytiri and jake stood beside each other and their eyes were set on you both. jake’s eyes softened in realization and he glanced down at his wife, who held a ‘i told you so’ expression on her face. jake knew that she was right. maybe this friendship you both had was only temporary. from what he had seen, the possibility of you both being a mated pair was close to being a hundred percent.
“well, you might be right after all.” jake cleared his throat. of course he didn’t want neytiri to see the embarrassment that he was feeling at the moment.
“oh, ma jake, how you managed to woo me is beyond me.” neytiri slapped jake in the stomach, before leaning her head back on his chest to watch you and her youngest son stand in an embrace.
“they will make a fine pair.”

“Robby, get up, it's time for school!” You yell at your son from the kitchen.
You hear heavy footsteps approaching in the kitchen, you look up and see an extremely sleepy Robby take a seat at the counter.
“Morning. Got any coffee?” Robby says after he rubs his face.
“Honey, you do know that it’s almost 8am, right? You shouldn’t be this tired,” you chuckle at your son as you pour him a small cup of coffee.
“Mom, you do know that I have more important things to do than sleep, right?”
You hand him his coffee and look at him trying to hold back your laughter, “And what is that? You know, besides your video games.”
Robby hadn’t expected you to rebuttal his statement and he clearly had no clue what to say so he changed the subject, “So, are you going to dinner tonight?”
“To your Dad’s?”
Robby smiles, “Please come!”
You shake your head, “No, there’s no way I’m going. I’ve got plans.”
Robby chuckles, “Oh yeah? What plans?”
“Two words. Couch, TV.”
Robby rolls his eyes, “No. You’re coming tonight. I know you two have your differences but please! I would like to sit down and eat dinner with both parents,” he breaks out the puppy dog face and it always causes your heart to melt.
You wanted to stand your ground and tell him ‘no’ but you just couldn’t when he pulled that face on you, “Fine. I’ll go.”
You and Johnny had gotten divorced when Robby was pretty small. He doesn’t necessarily remember you two ever being together as a family. You and Johnny did have your differences but you two didn’t really hate each other like the other divorcee’s. You and him relatively got along; the only reason you two separated was because you couldn’t handle Johnny’s drinking problem and him 9 times out of 10 being late to pick Robby up for school. You can admit that Johnny wasn’t an extremely involved father with his son. You tried your best to make Robby believe that he was an outstanding father because you couldn’t handle the thought of your son carrying the thought that he was a burden to his dad. Robby adored Johnny all because of you. Robby adored you as well; but you could tell that it was eating him up that you two weren’t together.
Robby had tried countless times to get you two to reconnect and sometimes it worked. For a while you and Johnny were constantly on and off; but it got to the breaking point when he would sink back into his drunken stupor. Robby was almost seven years old. You would come home from work after picking Robby and seeing Johnny passed out on the couch. Once you got in you would make Robby a sandwich and pour him something to drink and you would wait for Robby to go to his room.
“Johnny! Wake the hell up!”
You got no response from Johnny.
Your voice gets louder, “Johnny!”
Still nothing.
That’s when you say fuck it and get a glass of cold water and pour it on him causing him to jolt awake.
“What the hell!” Johnny exclaims, “I was sleeping. What’d you do that for?”
You cross your arms, “You’re joking, right?”
Johnny looks at you confused, “What?”
You scoff, “Did you forget that you have a family? A son? That you needed to pick up from school today?”
Johnny’s eyes widen at your statement, “Oh my God, I’m–I’m–”
“Sorry? Really? Oh yeah, ‘sorry’ is definitely gonna fix it. Do you know how many chances I have given you?”
“Babe–”
“No. I’m not–” you sigh and run your fingers through your hair, “I’m not doing this again. I can’t do this again.”
Before Johnny could say anything else you head to yours and Johnny’s room and pack your stuff. There was a part of you begging for him to come in and talk to you; to beg you to stay, but he never did. Your eyes start to well up with tears. You hold them back from falling because you didn’t wanna give him the satisfaction. After you finish packing your things you head into Robby’s room and pack his things with him questioning you what’s going on. You give him the excuse of spending the night at your parents house for a sleepover and Robby got all excited to spend the night with his grandma and it broke your heart knowing that he will never get to enjoy being a true family with his dad again but sometimes it was what’s best. You let Robby hug his dad goodbye and say “I love you.”
You go and get Robby settled in the car while Johnny just sits there on the couch almost comatose from his surroundings. You head back inside to get your last bag of things and you decide to stop in the doorway and say, “So that’s it?”
Johnny slowly looks up at you with dreary eyes, “Please.”
“I can’t fix you, Johnny. I’ve tried. So many damn times but I can’t fix you.”
“Please stay. Please,” Johnny’s voice cracks.
You almost thought about staying with him. Did you really want to leave him like this? Could you be so cold hearted? You decide with the latter and do what’s best for your son so you say, “No. This time you need to fix yourself. Good luck.”
You close the door in his face and leave. Your parents helped you find a new home for you and Robby. Eventually Robby started questioning why you two weren’t going to Johnny’s and you had to break the news to him which was devastating. He cried for what seemed like forever and it killed you on the inside but you knew deep down that he would eventually understand.
You and Johnny went without contact for about six months until he showed up on your doorstep. You heard a knock on your door and you were greeted with a 50% sober Johnny Lawrence.
You automatically get defensive due to the walls you had built up, “What do you want, Johnny?”
“Y/N, listen I–uh–” Johnny rubs the back of his neck nervously and continues, “I’m sorry. I fucked up.”
You almost laugh at his form of apology. He was never good with words.
“Yeah, you did. You broke us.”
“Listen, I’m sorry. I’m getting better. I am. I love you, please come back.”
Those words. They stung. You felt your heart ache. You had started to feel hope. Maybe he was getting better. Maybe you could come back. Maybe you could be his again.
You decided to go against your heart and go with logic, for your son, “Good. Glad you’re figuring your shit out.”
You see Johnny withdraw away from you, “Yeah.”
You almost shut the door in his face wanting to run away from the situation but you hold out a little bit longer, “I hope the road of recovery treats you well, Johnny. Bye.”
You start to shut the door but he stops it.
“If I can’t see you can I please see Robby?”
“Johnny, I–”
“Listen, maybe not today. But soon? Just think about it?”
You give him a small smile and can’t help but give in a little bit, “I’ll think about it, okay?”
Johnny smiles and you almost melt on the spot but you still hold your ground not changing your stern expression towards him and he says, “Thanks. Just give me a call when you decide, okay? He doesn’t have to spend the night or anything. I know you don’t trust me right now. I just– I wanna see him.”
You nod your head, “I’ll call you when I decide, Johnny.”
Johnny nods his head and leaves in silence. No goodbye’s or I love you’s just nothingness. You feel the pain in your heart as he walks away. You wanted him to turn back around and sweep you off your feet but unfortunately he didn’t. He just drove away leaving you standing in your doorway alone.
After a few weeks you give Johnny a call and he answers, “Y/N!”
“Johnny,” you almost gasp at his voice holding back your tears.
“Have you decided yet?” Oh, he really wanted to get to the point.
“It’s a yes. But on a few conditions.”
You hear Johnny sigh, “Those are?”
“Absolutely no alcohol. No smoking. And not too much junk food, alright? It’ll be evenings after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays because I work late on those days. I’ll swing by after work. We will start there, is that okay?”
You can practically feel and see Johnny’s smile through the phone, “Deal.”
“Johnny, you’re responsible for picking him up from school, feeding him something other than fried bologna and giving him something other than soda, got it?”
“Yes, Y/N. Ya know, you’re kinda a buzzkill.”
You chuckle, “Don’t push it.”
You hear Johnny laugh a little over the phone causing you to feel a tear stream down your cheek but you kept your sobs within. You two say your goodbyes and you finally let go. Robby was at school so you were alone. This was one of the first times you had let yourself feel the actual pain of losing your true love. You had been in denial and in hiding for so long but now you were finally able to feel the pain and let it out.
That next Tuesday you got off work with no calls from the school despite you sweating it all day and you arrive at Johnny’s and are apprehensive to knock on the door. This was once your home but now you felt like a stranger. Before you can knock you can hear Johnny and Robby laughing it seemed like they were laughing at something, probably a movie you thought.
You knock on the door and you hear the boys go silent causing you to smile and Johnny opens with a beaming smile, “Hey, Y/N. How was work? Come in.”
You weren’t ready to come in yet so you decided to stay outside, “Oh, work is work. I’m honestly pretty tired. But thank you. Really, thanks.”
Johnny’s smile falters a bit but he understands you. He knew that you weren’t one to open up a lot or very often.
“Yeah, sure. I get it. Robby get your stuff, buddy.”
You hear Robby whine while he’s packing his stuff saying, “Do I have to go home? Really?”
You chuckle at him, “C’mon Robby.”
You see him approach the doorway with his puppy dog eyes and he asks, “Can I sleepover soon?”
Johnny answers before you can, “Maybe soon. Okay?”
You decided to let Johnny handle that one because Robby was gonna see you as the bad guy this time and go against anything you said.
Robby nods his head and gets in the car. You look back at Johnny and you see him looking at Robby.
You put your hand on Johnny’s shoulder which you regretted as soon as you did it but you say, “Soon. He can spend the night. Just keep up the good work,” you force a smile on your face.
Johnny says confidently, “I’m getting better. I promise.”
You remove your hand, “Good. I’ll see you Thursday, okay?”
For a while Johnny and Robby hung out on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then it became on Wednesdays too; eventually it was one weekend out of the month. Then slowly progressed to every other weekend. From then on Johnny was a prominent figure in your son’s life and you were happy about it. Robby was a good kid and you knew he would be able to handle the joint parenting. You and Johnny had gotten closer over the years with you actually being able to step back into the house and sometimes join them watching a movie. You never really let Johnny back in though. You had set boundaries for yourself and for him and he never dared cross that line. Sometimes you wanted him to though. Silently begging him to touch your hand again or to look you in the eyes with the same adoration that he always had but you kept pushing him away and he just accepted it; which wasn’t the usual Johnny way. But for some reason he respected your limitations. He always did.
“Mom?” You hear Robby say.
“Yeah?”
“So you’re coming to dinner tonight?”
You nod your head, “Uh, sure.”
“Cool! I’ll call dad. I also think Miguel, Hawk, and Demetri are coming too!”
You look at Robby with shock, “Them too?”
“Yes, mom. I already asked Dad. He said it was fine!”
“Great! The more the merrier, right?”
“Yeah, I guess. Listen, I gotta go. I’ll see you at Dad’s?”
Robby runs up and gives you a quick hug and you say, “Yeah, sure honey.”
After you hear the door close you say to yourself, “Oh God, what have I gotten myself into? I mean seriously.”
At school Robby runs up to Miguel, Hawk, and Demetri, “Guys!”
The three of them all say, “What?”
“She’s coming to dinner! Parent Trap is happening!”
Hawk and Miguel exclaim, “Awesome!”
But Hawk says, “So this means your mom is completely off the table?”
Robby grimaces, “Dude, ew. She’s always been off the table.”
Miguel lightly hits Hawks chest and says, “Dude. Why?”
Before they can start arguing Demetri asks, “I mean, that’s super awesome. But–uh–guys? We literally have no plan?”
Causing the other three to roll their eyes at him with Hawk explaining, “The plan was to get them back together? Like eating dinner together?”
Robby adds, “Plus we can’t completely plan an entire conversation. It never works out the way you want it to!”
Miguel also adds, “Yeah, dude. I know the whole ‘the world is doomed’ thing is your schtick but let’s celebrate one step at a time!”
Demetri puts his hands up surrendering, “Fine! I’ll shut up,” and he looks at Miguel and narrows his eyes at him, “For the record, I never said ‘the world is doomed.’”
Hawk laughs, “Dude, you literally said that like fifteen minutes ago.”
The boys chuckle and head on to class once the bell rings.
Cut to you getting ready at the house, well, struggling to get ready. Practically your entire wardrobe was strewn across the floor; you silently having a crisis on the floor.
You had no idea what to wear or if you should do your hair or your makeup. You had no clue.
Wait, why did you care? Why did you care about how Johnny Lawrence saw you? He’s seen you at your worst and you’ve definitely seen him at his worst.
You do some light makeup, jeans, t-shirt, and leave your hair down just for the dramatic effect.
You get to Johnny’s and you see Miguel, Hawk, Demetri, and Robby waiting outside for you and you get out of the car and say, “Uh–why aren’t you inside?”
Robby says, “We were waiting for you!”
“Okay, excited?” You question.
Hawk says, “Hey! I’m Hawk,” he reaches out his hand to shake yours and you shake his. Seeing a slight blush come up on his cheeks.
You chuckle, “Hey, Hawk. We’ve met before.”
Robby and the boys give Hawk a slight death stare with Miguel subtly facepalming.
“So, mom,” Robby clears his throat which was clearly a warning towards Hawk, “Anyway, dinner is almost done.”
Miguel says, “Yep! We just finished setting the table!”
You look at them puzzled, “Okay? Thank you.”
Demetri sarcastically adds, “And just finished cleaning up his place too. Jeez, pigsty.”
You hear Miguel whisper to himself, “Oh my gosh, disaster.”
Robby looks at you distressed but tries to play it off as a joke, “HA! Nice one Demetri! Sure here with the comedy, huh?”
The boys start fake laughing and you still confused ask, “Boys. What’s going on? Why are you being weird?”
Hawk tries to cover, “Not us? Weird? Never. Come on. Let’s go inside.”
“Wonderful idea!” Miguel quickly turns around and leads the way with you following suit.
You all walk in and you see Johnny putting the spaghetti on the table. The sight of Johnny actually trying made your heart sink and flutter simultaneously. You hated to admit it but you still loved him.
He looks at you and smiles, “Hey! So, I uh, cooked dinner!”
You laugh, “Sure did!”
You walk up to the table and only see two plates.
You ask, “Okay, two plates?”
Johnny says, “They said it’d be a good idea.”
You look back at the boys and you see them nodding their heads at you.
“Robby? What’s going on?”
Robby says, “Enjoy. You deserve it.”
You are dumbfounded by his answer. You had absolutely nothing to say so you unwillingly took your seat.
You quickly see that boys were going to be waiting on you two causing you to chuckle a bit. The leagues and bounds they’d go through for Robby was extremely endearing.
The first to approach you two was Hawk, “Bread of the garlic variety, ma’am?”
You couldn’t help but laugh, “Sure, Hawk.”
Hawk puts a piece on your plate and a piece on Johnny’s without asking, making you and Johnny chuckle. Next in line was Miguel with wine.
“Wine?”
You agree and Miguel pours you some.
He walks over to Johnny and pours him some water refusing to give him alcohol and leans down to whisper in his ear, very loudly, you’d admit, “Make conversation with her, Sensei.”
Johnny pats him on the arm and whispers back, “Got it. I can handle the ladies just fine.”
Miguel snickers, “Sure you can.”
Demetri walks up with a bowl of salad and sits it down and he smiles at you which is very rare. You don’t think you’d ever seen him smile before.
Last but not least was Robby. He was tasked with serving the spaghetti which he wasn’t very good at. But you and Johnny watched him intently, not trying to make him anymore nervous than he already was. He finally got the hang of it and served you two.
“Bon appetit,” he bowed to you and Johnny; you both thanked all the boys for the hard work, and the three of them went into his room to try to listen to your conversation.
Before you take your first you ask, “Johnny, what’s this about?”
Johnny looks at you, “I wanted to talk.”
“You wanted to talk?”
“Yeah. You never wanted to talk to me. I needed something to push you.”
You scoff, “So you used Robby?”
“Please don’t make a big deal out of this. Robby is the one who came up with the idea, okay?”
You calm down a bit not wanting to push him away so soon, “Fine. I’m listening.”
“Y/N– I’m just gonna get to the point– I still love you.”
“You still love me?”
Johnny clears his throat, “Yeah, I do.”
“Why haven’t you told me this before?”
“I knew you’d be like this but Robby wouldn’t listen.”
“Yeah, Robby wasn’t exactly old enough to remember the emotional scarring you caused,” you feel the tears again.
“Y/N, I am so sorry. I can’t change the past. I wish I could,” Johnny looks down away from your eyes and you say sternly, “Look at me. When you’re apologizing. Look at me.”
Johnny quickly looks back up at you and quietly says, “I’m sorry.”
You slam your hands on the table from anger, “For years! Years I dealt with you, Johnny. The constant failure to be a father to our son! You have no clue what it was like to be a single mother.”
Johnny nods his head and his voice cracks, “I– I know.”
“No! You don’t know. You don’t.”
“Please forgive me. You don’t have to take me back. I’m a piece of shit, alright? But for your own sanity please forgive me.”
“For my own sanity? For my own fucking sanity?”
That’s when the boys enter the kitchen and you look up at Robby and you see his face. Sadness and your heart completely fell.
“What’s going on?” You hear Miguel asks disappointedly.
“Nothing, guys. It’s nothing,” Johnny waves them off.
“Yeah, it’s nothing,” you fold your napkin and lay it on the table, “I think I should be going. Thank you boys for the lovely dinner. I appreciate it.”
You walk up to Robby and kiss him on the head and you say, “I love you, honey. I’ll see you later, yeah?”
You smile at the others and quietly say thank you and leave.
Leaving Johnny and the boys in awe.
Demetri says, “So, we needed a conversation plan.”
Johnny says, “She hates me.”
“Dad, no. She doesn’t.”
The boys crowd the table around Johnny with Robby taking a seat.
Miguel says, “Sensei, this may sound crazy but I think she reacted like that because she still loves you.”
Hawk adds, “Could be. I react with anger too. Especially when I love somebody.”
This causes Johnny to look at Hawk and he says, “Yeah, because you’re a douchebag.”
Robby cracks up at Hawk's shocked face but Hawk nods in agreement; thinking through all of his questionable actions.
“Dad, you’ve gotta admit. You weren’t the best husband for a while there, you know?”
Johnny says, “I know. I was horrible. I just– I want her to be happy,” Johnny couldn’t believe he had said that. He only used to care for himself, or so he thought. He had tried to forget her for so long denying the fact that he has been in love with her through all these years and he knew she felt the same.
Johnny says, “I need to tell her.”
Robby looks at his friends as they are looking at Johnny not knowing what to say and then he also looks at Johnny and says, “Then go get her, Dad!”
Johnny automatically gets up from the table and grabs his keys and before he opens the door he turns back around and asks, “You guys got the kitchen, right?”
“What? Are you kidding me?” Demetri whines.
He feels Robby elbow his arm and he says, “Of course, Dad. We got it!”
Hawk and Miguel reluctantly agree and Johnny quickly says, “Yeah, thanks!”
Johnny opens the door to you standing there getting ready to knock.
“Oh, shit. Hey!” Johnny says.
“Hey,” you say.
“I’m guessing you heard all that?”
“Uh–yeah? Paper thin walls,” you give him a small smile, “I even heard you call Hawk a douchebag.”
“Hey! I’m not a douchebag!” Hawk exclaims.
“Yeah, dude, sure you’re not,” Demetri says sarcastically.
“Shut up, nerd!” Hawk argues back.
“Make me, asshole!” Demetri rebuttals.
“Guys!” Robby quiets them.
You and Johnny chuckle at the boys' arguments and look back at each other.
“So,” Johnny says.
“So?” You ask.
“I’m sorry.”
You look at him for a second debating on if you should forgive him. After all of these years of hating him and shutting him out. Building up your walls against him. Trying to mask the pain that he’s caused you. Pretending that everything was fine for your son. You had completely forgotten about yourself over the years and now it was your time to let it out.
“Johnny, you broke me. You broke my heart. It’s been hard. I blamed you for so long. ‘Hated’ you for a long time. But I can’t hate you anymore.”
“I–I know. I am so sorry.”
“I know you’re sorry. But you changed. And you stuck to it.”
Johnny says nothing but nods his head.
“I can’t thank you enough for that. Giving me a piece of mind.”
“I really tried. I tried for you and Robby. Because I love you, and I love our son.”
You didn’t know if you were ready to admit it yet. You were still afraid to be completely vulnerable with him expecting the worst to happen but for right now you let it go.
“I love you, Johnny Lawrence. I never stopped.”
Johnny smiles, “Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
You and Johnny stand there for a second taking in the moment until you hear Hawk yell, “Okay! Now kiss!”
You hear Miguel say something snarky to Hawk but you two ignore it and finally kiss for the first time in years. It had felt like you two had never grown apart; like the spark never died. It was like you two had never separated. The love had always been there but you had hid it away for so long in fear of being hurt again. You two separate and catch your breath.
You hear Robby say, “You know, I was excited for this moment. Until I actually saw it happen and I’ve never felt so wrong.”
Miguel and Demetri chuckle with Hawk saying, “Ya know, I’m kinda into it.”
“Dude! Can you seriously not go there right now?”
“Yeah, right. Totally inappropriate.”
You and Johnny laugh at the banter and you two go back inside to help the boys clean the kitchen.
You weren’t exactly sure what this meant for yours and Johnny’s relationship at this point in time but all you knew was that you had your family back and Robby had his parents back together; and that made your heart feel full again.

SPIDER SIS !
→ READING: older sister!black!reader
→ GENRE + WARNINGS: fluff + the n word is said
→ A/N: not to be confused, 1610!miles will be in red and 42!miles/miles g will be in purple. also y/n will perceive to be around my age, so 17-19 years old at the time of this writing !

— being the eldest sibling/older sister is quite…chaotic. from the birth of your baby brothers to now, you’ve never known peace cause it’s always something with one of the two. miles g is arguing it’s you over the tv remote or miles is lost in his math homework
— cause of his smart mouth and pettiness, arguments with miles g would be a daily thing. from sun up to sun down this boy will find the most minuscule thing to argue with you about. one time he blamed you for missing his favorite show like it wasn’t 100% his fault….
— whenever you and miles g are arguing, miles would stay out of it and hang out with his parents. he never takes sides, since he loves you both equally, but he does try to hear both sides of the story. sometimes he’ll try to play peacemaker but it just….rarely works
— this nigga miles g is such a snitch omg. he wouldn’t snitch on miles often but you, he running to the nearest parent. majority of the time, you would have to bribe him to not saying nothing
— even through the chaos, it’s a loving essence with the two. through the fights and arguing, they both have deep love for their older sister, they wouldn’t trade you for the world. also, these two are veryyyy overprotective over you, sometimes too much
— anybody talk shit about any of you three is gonna get hit or flat out cussed out by you or miles g. especially miles g, he doesn’t play those games about his siblings and will buck at anybody, friend or foe, he don’t care
— if you have a crush on someone, please don’t tell either miles cause miles is gonna tell miles g and miles g will find their entire identity like he works for the CIA. don’t let it be a boy either cause miles g will watch that boy with daggers in his eyes
— the boys have put a lot of their trust in you! they feel like they can tell you anything and almost any secret, unless it’s too embarrassing
— when it’s not chaotic in the morales household, you guys are usually chillin in the living room either watching tv or doing your own thing. if anime is playing on the tv, all three of you subconsciously hop on the couch and watch it together
— watching anime together is one of the times you love hanging out with your brother the most. all three of you are huge anime nerds (the worst is miles g), so sitting around the couch to start a new anime or catch up on an old one is quite fun and peaceful. also, anime is a frequent conversation, a lot of debates happen and one too many spoilers from miles
— when you were younger, you used to help your mom wash the boys hair. if your dad was at work, which he more than likely was, your mom would ask to help wash and style one of the boys hair while she did the other. it was fun watching the toddler miles splashing water and throwing bath toys at each other
— miles g loves stealing your food and doesn’t give a single damn about it. if you doordash some food, don’t let miles g peep it or grab it for you cause he will steal something. you know what’s funny? he’ll steal your food and judge you for the food you bought like it was his money spent on it….
“why am I missing three tenders? there’s supposed to be eight”
“yeah n/n, that shit was dry as fuck. don’t order from that restaurant again”
“nigga- did YOU buy it?”
“I’m just sayin that I wouldn’t waste my money on no shit like that”
— all three of you have the most ridiculous nicknames for each other and it would be something that happened in y’all childhood. y’all even have code names if y’all talkin shit about each other
— the sibling group chat would go crazyyyy, but not all the time. usually it’s tiktoks, y’all talkin shit, or some fight video that happen in school. more than likely miles g was instigating the fight
— for miles + miles g 19th birthday, y’all got matching spider tattoos and miles g got a matching nose piercing with you !
— when the boys were first born, they had their ears pierced and y’all parents would try to get matching earrings for the three of you. but majority of the time it wouldn’t work cause miles g refused to wear small hoops or a pink earring, even if it was sorta boy-ish
— miles g was the first to learn cuss words in Spanish, so he would teach miles about it. miles was clueless and didn’t know about they were bad words until rio popped his hand and punished him about it. poor miles :(
— when it comes to relationships, the boys always run to you before running to your mom. they would describe the girl and ask if you know her. if not, you would find her info and become a wingman for your baby bros

⭑ another long set of hcs, sigh
⭑ was this me mostly projecting being the oldest/big sister ? maybe !
⭑ lemme know if y’all want a part 2 cause I have so much to say for big sister reader 🤭
