Being in love with Park Jongseong was never in your plan. You hadn’t meant to fall for him, but it happened and it happened fast. His charming smile and delicate demeanor had you swooning and just like that you’d fallen under his trance. There was just one problem. Park Jongseong was not in love with you, yet.

Jake’s plan consisted of five very big and important parts. Oh yeah, another thing you hadn’t counted on happening was Jake, Jay’s best friend, to find out about your budding crush. He’d really stumbled on it by accident, catching you in the act of leaving his friend a letter confessing your love to him. Jake had then ridiculed you by saying, “If you want to catch his attention you can’t do what every other girl does. You need to stand out,” of course it discouraged you a bit but he quickly brought back up your spirits. “Luckily I’m here! Don’t worry, I’ll help you get him, but you have to follow my steps or it won’t work, okay?” and when you’d nodded his smile grew tenfold.

sleeping next to heeseung is a trap.

with one arm wrapped tightly around your waist, the peaceful rise and fall of his breathing lightly lulled you back into sleep despite your alarm ringing for the third time time that morning.

“hee,” you mumbled, struggling at your attempt to turn your body around and face him, “i need to go.”

heeseung simply shook his head, nuzzling his face gently into the crook of your neck, hugging you impossibly closer with no intention of letting go.

“hee,” you said, this time with a small laugh as you reached up to run your fingers through his soft hair, delicately brushing off strands of stray hair that was poking at his face.

“don’t go,” he whispered in response, sleep evident in his husky morning voice floated that across the sheets. 

truthfully, you wanted nothing more than to indulge in the shared warmth from his secure embrace, to run your hands through his fluffy locks, and to listen to him whisper sweet little nothings against your ear all day long.

but you knew better than to fall into for trap.

“i really need to go,” you whispered back, placing a chaste kiss on his forehead before gently pulling his hands away from your waist.

heeseung opened his eyes groggily, lips forming a small pout. he reached out to squeeze his arms around the blanket instead, as a temporarily replacement for being deprived of your warmth.

“five more minutes?” he asked softly, staring at you with such hopeful eyes that tugged on your heartstrings. 

sighing, you gave into his appealing request, “five more minutes,” you repeated. and he wasted no time to pull you back into his embrace, mouth curved into a drowsy little smile as he coaxed you back into slumber.

sleeping next to heeseung is a trap, but it is one that you are willing to fall for over and over again.

you were hanging out inside the library, heeseung invited you to study with him for the next exams tomorrow— but you couldn't focus on this moment. you were deep into his features, he was perfect starting from the line of his nose to his perfectly shaped lips— handsome, you thought. "you don't focus."

"forgive me or not for this." you cupped his face placing your lips on his shaped one as he was smiling between it— he finally got it. the kiss was meaningful for him, he got you.

jongseong decided that he was the one to make the first step towards you— it was his day. he was there outside your college waiting for you as he checked the hour for the last time before seeing you marching towards his figure, wrapping your arms around his waist— he was taken aback.

"jongseong! let's go. you promised me a friendly date." that wasn't so friendly for him— getting you as his love was his main goal for the moment, he intertwined his fingers with yours. at this moment, he was sure— for him, you were the light inside his darkroom lightning these moments.

stargazing, jaeyun thought it would be perfect for him to confess how much you mean to him. he was eager to hold you close to him— smelling your warm scent over your hair. he chuckled taking your hand before kissing it slowly. "where are we going?"

"somewhere, where the stars could speak the truth." you were confused— looking at him as he blindfolded your eyes whispering in your left ear slowly, "trust me." — and you did, you trusted him. "take it off already." he took off the scarf over your eyes as you opened it quickly, pecking his lips. "stars aren't brave enough to speak our love out loud."

inside the cabin, as the snow was falling outside deeply, sunghoon was on the couch scrolling through his phone— not minding the person beside him, you. "hoon." you called him, he hummed not giving you any glance ever since your tv marathon with him— he was obsessed.

your mother invited him to spend the winter break with you, little did she know how much you were in love with him— trying to avoid him for months, but there you are stuck with him. "hoon." you called him a second time, pulling his phone away from his eyes, he whined. "you stupid boy." you couldn't wait anymore.

it has been months ever since you wanted to do it— kissing his lips deeply as he cupped your cheek, replying directly to that affection. "you won over my phone." he chuckled stroking your hair.

"you know I hate amusement parks?" you whined, shaking off the hold over your hands— he chuckled, sunoo loved it so much. "let's start easy with the ferris wheel." he snatched you away from your current position. at night, the funfair was extremely pretty with those lights revealing the small town beside it.

"tell me once we reached the bottom." you hide the view with your palms sitting in front of him, he smiled. sunoo slowly marched closer to you, taking your hand off your face, rubbing it gently. "appreciate it." he closed his eyes, leaning forward before you could feel his lips on yours— he got your trustworthiness.

you gave him a thumbs up for his next performance, jungwon was nervous but seeing you there smiling at him— he felt like he won everything in the world. jungwon was there singing deeply, as he was understanding the meaning and the song wasn't random. "kill me slowly with your kisses."

you congratulated him, as he snatched a bottle of water from your hand before glancing over your petite figure— "won, the song wasn't random hm?" you crossed your arm over your chest, he shook his head.

"we could play a lyrics prank, but I can't wait to have you loving me." he wrapped his arms around your waist bringing you closer to him— "love me until you hate me." he pecked your forehead.

walking you home was his habit after offering you your favorite snacks together. "thank you as always, riki." he chuckled brushing his hands over yours purposely— hoping you would take it, but the home was already drawing in front of you.

"be safe on your way home." he nodded parting away from the close distance between him and you, riki was sad. you opened the gate, waving at him before closing it back after you— slowly realizing you forgot the usual hug.

"rik—" opening the gate again, he cupped your face harshly without noticing and landed his lips on yours mixed with the tears of his— riki was feeling alive with you.

watching him from afar, through your bedroom windows or from inside your parents’ car or during an event in your apartment complex where you stood far off mixed in the crowd. that was your limit. it was all okay till you liked him and just looked at him through veiled glances and secret giggling messes. but interacting with him, having to meet him every week, the said man actually initiating conversations with you from his side. this was not okay, this was not within your bubble of limit. and then falling for him as more than just a crush, this is way beyond your limits, it scares you. but you can’t stop now. you don’t want to.

life was so different just a month ago. or maybe it was just the start of a very big change. a change which you so badly needed but did not want. the reason? you’ll probably find it out after you’ve gotten used to your new normal. because that’s what usually happens, that’s what you’re so familiar with that it scares you when it doesn’t happen. like a planned trip you’re excited for getting canceled or crying to sleep on your special day, or getting an awfully dry response for something you thought you’d get praises for. that’s what you were used to, getting disappointment after experiencing a trifling taste of happiness. so used that even the hurt you felt, felt normal.

it was three in the afternoon, a monday of January: the month symbolic of beginnings and change, when it all started. when the door to change opened. when his door opened.

seated in one of the chairs in the corridor, you were waiting for your turn. you were supposed to get your braces of painful four years removed a while ago. but due to unknown reasons, reasons you weren’t told of by your mother, your assigned dentist had moved cities resulting in you changing your appointment to your oh so captivating neighbor you harboured a crush on, park jay; or jay park as it said on the residents plate on the black wall near the entrance of the apartment building.

all you had known was that he was new to the city, having overheard your parents talking about bumping into him on their way to work one of the days and how much of a polite man he was. and in all honesty the word ‘man’ just seemed to give you an univitingly repulsive feeling. you hadn’t even seen him yet you already hated him. but that was before you had seen him okay?

you clearly remember the beating of your heart the day you entered the elevator to find him inside, pressing on the ‘door open’ button for you as you rushed in. panting while you took discrete peeks at his features from the corner of your eyes. and how it fastened even more when you saw him sign his name on the time in and out register at the front desk. the thought- so that’s him, crossing your mind as you took an obscure glimpse of him walking to his car. oddly enough, though you were getting late that day, for some reason you still stood in a corner to watch him drive away. and when the next morning you found yourself waiting a second longer in the elevator for him, you knew you were developing a certain liking for the ’man’; or to be more specific, a crush who would turn your life upside down.
