"smart boy." vicky couldn't help the grin that tugged on her lips. as much as she's still exhausted from dealing with unreasonable customer for what's probably the fourth time during the entirety of her shift, just seeing her friend's face is enough to put her in a better mood. she wouldn't even ask for more, really. "burger, fries, and a coke coming right up." she repeats with a nod, punching in his order and taking the card before glancing at the digital clock hung on the wall beside. "less than an hour, give or take. you sure you wanna wait? don't you have other plans?" she questions, curious gaze flickering to him as she finalizes the payment and hands him back his card. "you know i'm not gonna say no if you do want to stay. i need someone to hold me back if someone comes in here asking for ice cream again. our ice cream machine has never been fixed." the notice has long since been pasted on the door, and has never once been read apparently. "especially mint choco. who even wants to eat chocolate ice cream that tastes like toothpaste?"

      in all honestly, hyunki found the situation a little too funny. not because his friend was getting an earful from the woman who apparently came to fight, but because the old lady's complaint was so ridiculous to him. how someone could harass service workers over ice cream was insane, but then again, it wasn't like the world wasn't full of insane people. he, along with the other patrons waiting laughed - especially at the toothpaste comment. when it was finally his turn, he leaned against the counter, snickering at her words, " nah, no ice cream for me. i wouldn't want to face your wrath. " he shook his head, " and i promise i brushed my teeth today after my meal. " referencing her earlier comment, he looks up at the menu board, scanning quickly and choosing the least complicated one. " i guess i'll just have the standard burger with fries meal. with coke, of course. " nodding once, he slides his card over the counter to her, " what time are you getting off ? is it soon ? if it's soon, i could just wait here for you to finish with your shift. "
