The tragedy of Zenon Zogratis

Disclaimer: Okay folks here’s my short fic and my take on Zogratis family lore. Basically Black Clover has this pattern going on of redeeming its villains and them coming back later to help Asta and his allies. Obviously Tabata can’t do that with the Dark Triad as they are now. So I thought the only option where it would be possible to keep this trope going would be if the devils really corrupted the original Dark Triad beyond recognition. That’s how this oneshot happened. Keep in mind that this is set long in the past and poses as an origin story; therefore Zenon is in the beginning stages of his development to become the character we know today. As soon as Tabata reveals their actual backstories this will most likely move into AU / canon divergent territory. Also since we haven’t gotten ages for the Dark Triad, this is written under the assumption that they’re way older than they appear. Parts of this story have been recycled and rewritten from a previous fic I’ve written for a different fandom.
