Was I a fool to think I could ever be free?

Now I see the past, it won’t let me be.

There’s a boy at school,

And he played me for the fool. 

He is bright and full of life, 

Where I am dark and full of strife.

His story is dangerously close to mine, 

And because of it, I walk a very thin line.
