Some excellent intimate whump tropes:

Tilting Whumpee’s chin up with a knife

Softly gliding a blade over Whumpee’s skin, raising both goosebumps and their heart rate before making a cut

Dragging Whumpee’s face up by the hair to look into their eyes (which are probably unfocused and hazy with pain)

Running fingers softly over Whumpee’s cuts/bruises, before pressing in

A good old-fashioned beating with good old-fashioned boots

Cradling Whumpee’s face softly, then digging their nails into their cheeks/chin

Twisting Whumpee’s arms behind their back and pressing up against them, whispering threats in their ear

Dragging Whumpee close with their shirt/hair

Pulling Whumpee’s head to look back at Whumper with a blade to their throat

Manhandling

Closing a hand around Whumpee’s throat and seeing the panic set in
