Squeaking out half her reply of ‘you’re on’, Aibi has to jog to keep up with his pace, nearly tripping over her own sneakers to catch up to him. “Ohoho, you’re in for it, Hawksy!” Never let it be said she made bets without thinking of the consequences. She had, in fact, weighed them and is almost banking on the fact that she’s eaten much larger heroes under the table.

“Hope you brought your wallet, or thi-” The tickle of his feathers catches her attention first, finding herself airborne as she looks down at them as well as the ground. In a blink, she’s in his arms, latching her own around his neck before curling up against him. Firmly planted on the ground was where she belonged. He could keep the sky. Someone so short wasn’t meant to be up so high, she thinks.

Burying her face against his neck, her sharp canines lightly graze his skin as she talks, “C-Couldn’t we have just walked?!” Holding on for dear life, her fists ball in his jacket, trying not to look at their surroundings.

         To Hawks, it doesn’t matter whether or not he’s going to lose to the smaller in an eating contest of who can eat the most yakitori. He’s not stupid to consider that because of her specific Quirk, her appetite definitely exceeds that of normal humans with quirks that doesn’t require any sort of transformation or the energy that needed to facilitate that. Fat Gum is a good example of that and honestly, he’d like to see who would win: Fat Gum-san or Aibi-chi, who’s half his height?

         Oh, he’d definitely want to see that.

         The Hero doesn’t hear her words, considering he’s banking on the fact he’d lose anyway. Instead, he’s relishing the feeling of her pressed and nuzzled against his chest, bracing herself against him as the startled surprise ripples throughout her frame. Hawks expects the brush of her lips against his neck, fighting the shudder down his spine when he feels the sharp touch of her canines. Thankfully, he’s flying so he doesn’t have long to think about it, focusing on making sure he doesn’t mess up with her in his arms.

         He flies easily, smoothly, and doesn’t jostle even when she clings to him, her high-pitched squeal from earlier a ringing reminder of her surprise.

         Looking down, he smirks. ❝But, it’s more fun to fly with you in my arms, don’t you think so? And much faster!❞ Hawks adjusts, making sure he has a firm hold on the girl. He holds her so she’s able to press her face into the skin of his neck with ease, holding her more securely now that they’re airborne. She’s so easy to hold in his arms, and feels nice that it’s partially one of the reasons why he wanted to do this in the first place. Holding her close is... nice.

         Yeah, that’s a good word.
