also there’d be a romantic subplot bc i’m me but idk with who (likely peter bc spider-man just gives he’d have a giant crush on the new girl and have total bf energy)

Just wanted to say, love how you write Billy and Stu as creepy possessive weirdos, but in their own unique ways! And also that I appreciate you making them BOTH toxic, not just one or the other! Lovely characterization!

ahhh thank you!!! i'm so happy that the fact that they're both toxic comes across in their own specific ways :) my biggest fear is writing a Billy and Stu fic where it feels like i just split up the dialogue randomly

fun fact, i've written scenes for Billy and then been like nah...this feels more like Stu and vice versa so i'll either reword or just change a few things so that it aligns with how i view them even better

i feel like the main difference i keep in mind is that billy's a sly kind of toxic bc he's a tiny bit more aware of the kinds of things that'd scare y/n off (it's more abandonment issues than genuine concern over y/n) and stu's toxicity is a little more forward, but that more "obnoxious"/blatant toxicity actually covers up for some darker stuff lol (it's half intentional and half coincidence)

anyways i do go into some depth about this in a little ramble that's linked here

but the concise answer is basically that i see them as together in an unsaid way, a sort of friends with benefits but they're both pretty aware of the fact that they're the only person the other really cares about (with y/n as a relatively new exception) but they don't really talk about it outside of the occasional possessive burst just bc they don't like/need to talk about feelings

side note, i can kind of see them talking about their feelings a little more through y/n, meaning that their endgame goal of running off into the sunset after committing murder so that it can just be you three cements the permanence on how they feel about each other.

i do, however, try to leave it open for some interpretation so that readers can project how close they are more or less

i was super skeptical after the sidney negotiations drama but i love nyc & think it’s an interesting change in setting & jenna ortega has been absolutely serving in horror/eerie projects so over all,, i feel like i’ll enjoy it even if it doesn’t feel a lot like scream as long as i go in with the mentality that it might not feel super connected to the franchise if that makes sense

so ig generally i’m cautiously optimistic about the movie’s potential !
