Hand In Pain I Scream.

Hand in pain I scream.

It's not carpal I was already checked for that. It's just the forever-pain that appears randomly for few weeks and is silent for rest.

Anyway let's add a regular post on the mole stars

Anyway Let's Add A Regular Post On The Mole Stars

Here is the one from the new ref.

There are some updates from the last time you saw them. Their skin is full red and their "tentacles" are gone. Their teeth are inside their skin and not always visible.

Anyway Let's Add A Regular Post On The Mole Stars

They manipulate surroundings with very flexible arm endings that create slight suction between the frill layers. The frills are surprisingly energetic and have the most touchy nerves and many small muscles. The teeth can go very far back into the arm, leaving the mouth flexible (the teeth themselves are flexible-ish).

Star eyesight sucks. On each arm is 4 (sometimes 5) extendable thorns with tiny eyes on top that give the arm a basic sense of space. If they want to focus on something they look with their mouth which has its inside lined with photoreceptive cells. To get a decent image they shape the arm inside into a sphere and change the end diameter.

Anyway Let's Add A Regular Post On The Mole Stars

But this works a lot better underwater, where they only spend their early and partial adult lives. Speaking of early life. Stars are born looking more like jellyfish than a star.

Anyway Let's Add A Regular Post On The Mole Stars

When hatched, they are only 1/4 of their adult version, a single arm swimming around and slowly growing. After this stage, the little jellies start connecting. Most often you get 4 arms but some moles have 3 or 5 (other numbers have a hard time surviving). Once they are joined, their bodily functions are connected, and even their nervous system becomes one. While being sophonts, their brain/s work a lot differently, with their arms being somewhat capable of independent thought.

Anyway Let's Add A Regular Post On The Mole Stars

And a tiny possible living space. But that's just thoughts.

Once Again A Creature From The Continent Of Slomen. A Very Primitive But Also Very Specilised Critter.

Once again a creature from the continent of Slomen. A very primitive but also very specilised critter. 6 to 30 cm long, wet roots up to 45cm.

They live in many aquatic environments but most often you will find them in forest rivers and lakes. Some species have even adapted for life in the sea and could be considered fully aquatic while still air breathing.

Majority of the clade feeds on small animals like invertebrates sometimes parts of plants they can digest. Their hunting strategy is either burst swimming, jumping or just sliding on top of some slow prey.

There were two important species that started life on land, with the leaf ancestor being a smaller, less land specilised of the two. Leafs are one of their earliest evolutionary branches as land vertebrates and have retained many acient features like paw suckers and teeth instead of claws. In bigger vertebrates most of these little teeth were lost and became true claws or fingers (even present on the other land climber ancestor).

They can actually eat with their feet that are still closely connected to their stomach. But it applies only to very small food particles.

The wets are not very culturally significant but some regions do eat them. But the thick mantle isn't very tasty. In some places they symbolise good harvest season.

These little guys are also related to the 'birds' of Elve and I'm sure you can see why.

After A Long Time, I Have Decided What My Current Sona Is, Which Means I Can Make Artist Memes Now.

After a long time, I have decided what my current sona is, which means I can make artist memes now.

It's based on classic war depictions of Unii-lls. A big big monster with giant horns, dinosaur posture, and a thick "scaly" tail. It's not the most accurate to what the soldiers really saw but it's cool as a sona. Not a canon character with uniima ll biology but just - some beast.

Uniima ll have miniature useless tails. They knuckle-walk most of the time and walk bipedally when they need height. Some farmers would make a terrible-for-spine contraption to free both of their hands when harvesting crops. It was like a backpack in the shape of a tail. To keep the weight same-ish, the farmer would drink the water kept in it after they filled it with material.

HERES A MEME

Have the uniima or slomen made any mythical creatures? What are they like?

Have The Uniima Or Slomen Made Any Mythical Creatures? What Are They Like?

While there are definitely many different mythological beings in the cultures of both, I really felt like showing the sloman equivalent of a dragon.

These beasts go far in sloman history. They can be even found in their cave paintings, often as 'hunting' targets of prehistoric slomen.

Because of how many cultures have named their own beings and how different they are among these cultures, I will not name them here.

You can encounter them in hundreds of legends/folktales with some regional quarks to each. Sometimes they fly, sometimes they lift mountains and shape the world, sometimes they suck people inside their bodies, teleporting them to strange locations (...), and other times they are simple monsters fought by sloman heroes.

Other places these beings are common in are regional flags, blazons of houses or families, house decor, weaponry, some religious imagery, and naturalist books (many groups believe they are real, same with thousands of other mythical beasts), etc.

Their form is not consistent. The number of "limbs" and "fingers" is an exception. Few cultures even depict them with full vertebrate bodies with the whole 4-limb piece being the creature's head.

Welcome to the introduction (yippee)

I'm Philip/A/yello. I enjoy writing, art, science, and this is the blog focused on my personal brain worms.

My big brain worm is worldbuilding, and the world you are seeing is the World of All (placeholder name). World of All is placed on a single planet with multiple 'continents' that host independently evolved ecosystems and currently 4,5 sophonts/"aliens". This unique setup is all thanks to the Designers, mindless blobs that have managed to keep their landmasses isolated for billions of years (among other things). As a bonus, some of the blob physical manipulation is left in the sophont creatures' brains who have yet to understand physics on a deeper level.

Welcome To The Introduction (yippee)

Here are the 5 (O.s are having a redesign session). Mole stars have not made contact with the rest.
