STAY AWAY FROM MY SON, YOU WILL NOT TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME!" a voice like her late Mother's rangout from the drone girl's voice chip, she held Nate closely, her voice returning to it's normal soft tone as she addressed him, "Nate, sunshine, don't ever believe any of that is true, alright?"

Tessa held her precious lad close, even though he was taller than her, she still held him tightly like whenever he was scared at the manor.

"It was my fault, honest... I provoked the Solver," she insisted, as it was true, still holding Nate to keep him from any harm that could befall him, "My precious little sunshine, I'm never going to let anyone hurt you ever again, but if they still hurt you, I will put you back together and hunt down the monster who hurt you."

"Hey, Nate, check this out," she trilled before she aimed the pointer at the floor

She let out a giggle, waving her hand up and down by the wrist joint to dispel his sorrow, "Oh, pish posh, Nate. It's alright. You forget I didn't like my parents at all."

What was it like when you found J for the first time?

Well, Father had some broken drones in the garage for me to pick from... and I decided on a drone who was otherwise cosmetically perfect but her head was detached, it was an easy enough fix anyways. They wanted me to have a "playmate/babysitter" I think I was maybe 8 at the time

We built J together, and programmed her... Mother had bought a nylon wig for my drone, you know, so I'd maybe learn to braid hair on my "living doll" You know, because -Louisa impression- that little ragamuffin needs to learn how to do her own hair if she's just going to cry everytime I pick up a hairbrush.

-her voice returns to normal after a little laugh- I think that was the only kind deed my parents ever did.

I wasn't allowed to name J what I wanted to name her, not that I remember what the J initially would be for, but, I was allowed to pick a letter as "I wouldn't get as emotionally attached if something happened and I needed to replace her"... I chose J because of a blue jay that flew through my open window and ate cranberries and breadcrumbs from my hands
