i want to let you guys know IM NOT DEAD! y'know, i just want to take a break from tumblr and not doom scroll all the time. I find it unhealthy for me overall so im just trying to limit my time on here.

I also have a super big art block but i whipped these up really quick because i felt bad not giving you guys art lately :[ but don't worry!!! there are upcoming drawing projects you should be looking out for! I'm working very hard on them :D

just a disclaimer, i drew these at like 2AM for some reason so they are kinda shitty

i should be practicing Dan's design more :[ but i just like drawing Herbert. This is a new style for Dan, tell me how you like it!

Listen, i completly agree with the scenes where herbert shoes emotion AND THE FACT that whenever he gets vulnerable im not 100% sure that he is ACTUALLY showing emotion or just manipulating AND I LOVE IT.

Please tell me you know that there was a part in the script cut out. Where herbert in that scene where he sees francesca and dan, HERBERT WAS MEANT TO WALK TOWARDS THEM AND TELL DAN THAT HE WAS WAITING FOR HIM IN THE LAB (or something like that, sorry). Like, I heard this in the bride of reanimator commentary with the special effects guys, the director and jeffrey combs.

Personally what broke me was the bride, idk she just sounds so innocent, she doesnt know what she is doing, who she is or why she is there. Just continous confilcting emotions from the different parts of her body. And her shouts and little twitches are so honest( idk if that makes sense) AND DAN JUST REALIZES ITS NIT MEG SO SHE OFFERS HIM HER HEART AND SHE DIES!!!!!. And herbert is just like, "uh yeah, tissue damage". As if he wasnt obsessed with creating her at least two hours before.

Anyways, take my mere mental breakdown, hope you enjoy it. I need someone to talk about this movie and stuff. And im crap at analyzing stuff so im up for hearing any theories in the films or anything.

okay so I do know about the commentary but I haven’t actually ended up finishing it. I’m avoiding it for now because I know once I resume watching it that will take over my life for months and I’ll have to make notes on everything (something I’ve done for every piece of reanimator media is write extensive notes on each scene- I’m not even sure why, they aren’t important notes or anything of the sort).

BUT THE BRIDE DUDE…. GRABS YOU AND SHAKES YOU. I have so many thoughts about her that I just can’t put into words but I think about her so much when it comes to reanimator,,,, and the parallels between the first scene with Herbert holding the heart and the Bride holding the heart? Sobbing.
