A/N: Day 6 of 12 Days Of Christmas!

The mall is always packed this time of year, and people always need help finding presents, so every holiday season Y/N is a "Santa's Helper".

Sure she liked doing it, but when grumpy people yell at you for suggesting they get their son who likes paw patrol and the color red a Marshall play set, it gets tiring.

She had just gotten in when the other girl told her she had "two cute guys" waiting on her. She puts her sweater on over her uniform shirt and walks over to the boys.

"Hi guys, my name is Y/N and I'm a Santa's Helper." She introduces herself, shaking hands with both boys.

"I'm Cam." The redhead says.

"I'm Johnny." The brunette says.

"Ok. Cam, Johnny, who are we shopping for today?"

"I'm shopping for my sister, and my parents." Cam says.

"I'm shopping for my cousin, and my brother." Johnny says.

"Ok, I can work with that." Y/N smiles.

As they were walking around the stores Y/N got to learn about both boys, especially Johnny.

They play hockey at the University of Michigan, where she also goes to school.

"I'm not sure why I didn't recognize you guys. You're pretty popular on campus." Y/N says as she scans through shelves of makeup for Cam's sister. "You said your sister wanted more colorful eyeshadow?" Cam nods. "I'm not a big fan of James Charles, but the Morphe palette is really good and colorful." She pulls it off of the shelf and hands it to Cam who looks at it and nods.

Johnny stood there and watched her do her thing. He loves how she remembers things only if it's been said once and is so easy to make conversation with. Now that he knows who she is, he knows that she is the girl Will had a project with for his Psychology class.

He also thought she was adorable in her Santa hat.

"Ok, so your cousin likes Barbies right?" Johnny nods. "The holiday Barbie is on sale for twenty bucks."

"So Beech, you going to give her your number or ask her out?" Cam asks as they wait for Y/N to come back with a decoration for Cam's mom.

"Huh?" Johnny replies, turning to face his friend with a confused look.

"Dude, you've been staring at her with heart eyes the whole time." Cam snorts.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Johnny mutters and crosses his arms.

"Yeah ok, Beech." Cam laughs. "She seems to be a good girl, and she is beautiful, so I say go for it."

Just after he says that she rounds the corner carrying a picture for Cam's mom to hang in her house.

After finishing, Cam decided to run off and get a drink, leaving Johnny and Y/N by themselves.

"Thank you for helping, we would've been lost without you."

"Yeah of course! You'll have to let me know if your cousin likes the doll though, I was in love with mine when I was younger." Y/N smiles as she reminisces. Johnny's stomach erupts with butterflies.

"God you're beautiful." Johnny whispers as he takes in her smile.

"What was that?" Y/N asks.

"Uh, nothing." Johnny stumbles over his words until he sees Cam standing behind Y/N motioning to his phone to get her number. Finally, he gives in. "Could I have your phone number? I'd like to take you out sometime."

Y/N blushes as she nods. Johnny hands her his phone and she types her information in.

"I'd love to go out with you sometime Johnny, but I still want to know if your cousin likes the doll so text me, please?"

"Yeah, of course." He grins.

"Well, I should get back to work." She turns her head to look at few women standing at the desk.

"Yeah. I'll text you later?" Johnny asks as he takes a few steps.

"I'll be waiting."

Internal [Kristain ‘Yatesy’ Yates]

Description: Y/N's health condition gets outed on a hot, busy day at Bondi Beach.

Warnings: Cardiac Arrest

Y/N had been feeling dizzy all day. She had heart problems, really, really bad heart problems. Bad enough to get a internal defibrillator. Most people would probably say being a lifeguard isn't good for someone with cardiac issues, but she still pursued the career.

She's been a lifeguard for Waverly Council for three years. The only person to know about her issues was Hoppo. He had to know because of legal reasons, but everyone else was kept in the dark about that aspect of Y/N's life.

"Bondi Central to Blue Rhino. You've got a young man, twenty meters out." Yatesy says over the radio.

Y/N and Yatesy are great friends, well that's what they like to think. Everyone could tell how in love they are, except them.

Yatesy wanted Y/N to come up to the tower because he noticed how she's been acting but the lifeguards were stretched thin and Bondi was busy.

She'd been going back and forth between first aids and incidents in the water all day, with no time to take a breather, let alone any time to inform anyone about how she was feeling.

"I'm going in Yates. He's not looking good." Y/N replies before setting her radio down and grabbing the board.

"You're not looking good either." Yatesy mumbles to himself.

He watches as Y/N hits the water. She starts paddling to the man, but he notices her grab her chest for a second before continuing to paddle.

Y/N finally gets to the man but when she sits up her eyes roll back into her head, going unconscious. Her body falls forward and smacks against the board. The man she went out to rescue clings to the board and starts waving for more help.

Yatesy starts to panic. Normally he is good at keeping a cool composure, but this is Y/N. The woman he's in love with. He grabs his radio and immediately radios out to every lifeguard, even the ones at Tamarama and Bronte.

"Bondi Central to all Waverly Lifeguards. We have a lifeguard down, get an Ambo here quick!"

Yatesy grabs the defibrillator and the other bag of medical supplies. He throws lifeguard protocol out the door and abandons the tower. Hopping in a ATV and speeding to Y/N. By now other swimmers, and surfers have gone over to Y/N. A surfer had brought the man in and the others were trying to wake her up.

Yatesy hits the water and paddles as fast as he can. All he can think is that he might not get the chance to tell her how he feels. He might not get a chance to actually love her.

He stops right next to her and grabs her arm.

"Y/N?!" She doesn't answer, so he puts two fingers to her carotid artery.

Yatesy swears his heart shattered. The pain in his chest, the feeling in his stomach. It was all too much. The tears start rolling down his face. He grabs her from the board and pulls her onto his.

He races back to shore and sees Hoppo, Jesse and Reidy standing there, waiting for them. Yatesy gets off of the board and Jesse pulls him to the side while Hoppo and Reidy pull Y/N up onto the sand.

"She'll be alright mate." Jesse says as he puts a hand on Yatesy's shoulder.

"She didn't have a pulse." Yatesy whispers.

"She'll be alright." Jesse repeats.

Y/N's internal defibrillator goes off, surprising everyone except Hoppo and now Reidy. Her eyes pop open and her hand goes to her chest.

"Y/N you're alright sweetheart, just breathe." She looks up at Hoppo and Reidy who are leaning over her and then tries to sit up when she hears a sob of relief. Reidy stays behind her to keep her steady as she looks at Yatesy.

"Kristain." She croaks. Yatesy walks over and takes Reidy's place behind her.

"I'm in love with you. I know this probably isn't the best time to tell you, but when I saw you collapse I swear my heart fell apart." Yatesy admits.

"I'm in love with you too. I'm ok. I'm sorry I scared you."

Yatesy wraps his arms around her and presses a kiss to her head. "You don't have to be sorry about anything."

Pack Christmas [Derek Hale] 🎄

Description: Derek and Y/N, sworn enemies, are chosen to prepare the pack Christmas Party.

Warnings: Arguing.

A/N: Day 1 of 12 Days of Christmas! Stay tuned for day 2! 

"Scott, what the hell?!" Y/N exclaims through the phone. She was in the middle of decorating her house for Christmas when the alpha called her to inform her that she and Derek Hale would be planning and setting up the second annual "McCall Pack Christmas Party".

"Please Y/N? We need to focus on finals and besides, you and Derek are like the packs parents!" Scott pleads.

"Scott, me and Derek barely get along." Y/N sighs as she sets a string of lights down on the floor to be untangled.

"But you work really well together. Remember when Cora and Boyd we're running through town? You guys did great that night."

"First of all, that was life or death. Second, the dude literally argues with me all of the time. Derek has made it very clear that he doesn't enjoy my presence, so if I'm going to do this, I'm better off doing it myself."

"Please, Y/N? Just try it and if it doesn't work out we'll just forget about it."

"Fine, but when everything goes sideways it's not my fault."

"Derek, come on. It's for the pack, not me!" Y/N exclaims.

They had decided to go to the store and buy decorations, and while they were getting garland to wrap around the handles to the stairs in her house. Normally she didn't do much decorating on the inside of the house but with the party being at her house she decided to go all out.

Derek, surprisingly hasn't been in a horrible mood since they started planning the party. Y/N thought he was sick at first, but then remembered werewolves don't get sick, so she doesn't know how to explain it.

Y/N suggested getting a real Christmas tree instead of the old fake one she has, but Derek decided to be difficult.

"The pack won't care." Derek deadpanned.

"Malia would love it because it reminds her of outside. Lydia loves the smell and authenticity. Scott and Stiles hate fake trees and Liam would absolutely love-." Y/N goes on until Derek cuts her off.

"You spoil those kids too much." He groans, finally giving in.

"Maybe I do. Maybe I don't."

On the way to the christmas tree farm, "Last Christmas" came on and Y/N quietly started singing it. Derek took his eyes off the road to look at her. She was beautiful. Derek always thought that from the first time they met to right now. She's always been beautiful. He's also always had a crush on her, but with all of the women he's been in a relationship with, he's been hurt by ninety-nine percent of them. He just thought it was best to push his feelings aside and distance himself, but Scott isn't helping him do that.

Once he parked his truck they started walking around the shops to see if there were any precut trees. Y/N turned a corner, saw a pin with reindeer in it and gasped.

"Derek! Can we go see the reindeer?!"

Derek looks at her for a few seconds while she looks at the reindeer. She has the biggest and brightest smile he thinks he's ever seen. His body warms at the sight. She's so happy, carefree, unlike most of the other times they are around each other.

"Yeah. Why not." Derek replies and walks over to the fence with her.

Immediately one of the baby reindeer walks over to them. Y/N puts her hand out and it rubs against her hand.

"Hi baby. You're so cute." She says in a baby voice. Derek smiles at her, yet again.

After they finished petting all of the animals Derek and Y/N made their way to the Christmas trees.

"You going to chop down the tree?" Y/N asks.

"Yeah, I used to every year when my mom and sisters were still alive."

"My dad never let me." Y/N says as she looks down at her shoes. "He always said 'Can't let my babygirl cut her hands.'."

"Your dad was protective of you wasn't he?" Derek asks as they walk through the rows of trees.

"Yeah, after my mom left with her boyfriend I was all he had left. He didn't want me to play sports in school because he was so scared that I'd get hurt."

"My mom was like that, but she didn't want us to get hurt because then we would be exposed when we heal."

"I'd be the same way, especially because people can't accept it."

"Well I'm glad you have accepted it."

It was finally the day of the party, and Derek came over early in the morning to help Y/N set everything up and cook, which would take forever.

"Ok, so I made the stuff I could premake last night. The deserts are in the fridge, and there is stuff in crockpots that just needs turned on." Y/N says as she speed walks around her house. She's a perfectionist, so her house is spotless, and the decorations are to her liking, and it was snowing, so nothing could ruin today.

Derek opens the fridge to pull out the crockpots and sees that she wasn't kidding when she said she bought enough food to feed the United States Army.

"Well it's a good thing Scott and Stiles can eat."

Y/N just gives him a big smile before continuing on.

"Y/N. When are you and Derek going to accept the fact that you guys are in love with each other." Lydia asks as she stirs the hot chocolate.

"Lydia." Y/N hisses. "He can hear you."

Lydia just rolls her eyes, knowing Stiles is keeping Derek's ears occupied.

"Oh, come on. He looks at you with pure love and adoration. You know he only acts the way he does because he thinks he's protecting himself."

"Why would he need to protect himself from me?" Y/N asks as she finishes the mashed potatoes.

"Because you came along right after Laura was murdered." Lydia pauses. "He told me that you are Laura in a different body. It scares him and makes him sad." She admits.

Y/N snaps her eyes to Lydia's, finally realizing why he was so cold towards her. Everything anyone's told Y/N about Laura reminds her of herself.

"Why didn't he just say something to me, instead of picking arguments with me every time he sees me." Y/N asks quietly.

"Because like Lydia said. I was scared." Derek's voice cut through the Christmas music playing quietly in the kitchen. "I was scared I'd lose you, like I lost Laura, so I figured if you hated me I wouldn't feel this way about you. It never has and it never will work."

Lydia walks out of the kitchen and into the living room with everyone else.

"I'm sorry that you felt that way Derek. I never meant to make you upset." Y/N says.

"Don't apologize. If anyone's apologizing it should be me. I've treated you so badly all of these years when all you wanted to do was help all of them."

"You too." Y/N exhales. "I wanted to help you too."

"Well since Christmas is "The time of forgiveness", maybe you could forgive me?" Derek asks hopefully while coming closer to her.

"That's true, so you are forgiven." Y/N kisses his cheek.

"Now maybe my New Years Resolution should be to make you mine."

"I wouldn't be opposed."

Heart [Andrew ‘Reidy’ Reid]

Description: Y/N is Reidy's daughter, and she has a heart condition.

Warnings: Cursing? I think that is it.

"Hey Y/N/N wanna race in?" Harries asks with a big, playful smile.

Y/N, Harries and Maxi were all out in the water taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Bondi has been quiet all day and Reidy had brought his favorite, and only, girl down to hang out with her favorite guys.

Y/N Reid was born with Congenital Heart Disease, where her heart has holes in it, and if her heart rate gets too high, she can't breathe.

Her mother didn't want to deal with it, so she left. Leaving Reidy alone with his sick baby girl, but he'd never have it any other way.

Reidy is obsessed with his now, teenage daughter. Y/N is the light of his life and keeps him motivated to be the man he is. She is his favorite person, so that means Reidy is quite protective over her, and when she hangs out with two of Waverley Councils goofiest lifeguards, he has strict rules.

One. Don't go too far out.

Two. Stay away from the twins and flat rock.

Three. Don't go swim in a rip.

Four. Don't overwork herself.

Maxi and Harries love to go out and paddle with Y/N, because she can give them both a run for their money.

"What does the winner get?" Maxi asks.

"Nothing, but maybe a laugh at the losers." Harries replies. The younger two of the three laugh loudly before agreeing.

They made a starting line and counted down from five.

"Five. Four. Three. Two. One!"

They took off paddling as hard as they could, all three of them looking back every few meters to look for waves to speed it up.

Once they’re two hundred meters from shore Y/N's heart starts racing and she starts slowing down. She knew she had to try and slow her heart rate, or else it would be bad.

After stopping for a few seconds and waiting, her heart continues to pick up its pace, so she called out to the boys.

"Guys!" Her voice was quiet amongst the sound of the ocean.

They didn’t hear her.

Reidy had gone across the road to the locker rooms, and he had told Hoppo to keep an eye on Y/N, so when Hoppo saw Y/N stop and lie her head down on the board, he knew exactly what would happen.

He left Gonzo in the tower and took one of the rhinos down to the waters edge. He didn’t wait and see if she could make it in, he just grabbed the board and went.

He passed Maxi and Harries who seemed confused, and they turned around to see Y/N laying on her board, floating with it.

"Shit! Maxi did she yell for us?!" Harries exclaims while turning around to paddle back out.

"I didn’t hear her!" Maxi replies as he does the same.

Hoppo reaches Y/N and grabs her hand.

"Just breathe. You’ll be alright." He gets Y/N on his board and unhooks the leg rope from her board. He sits there with her for a few moments. Breathing with her and trying to get her to calm down. It works a little bit, but not all the way.

Hoppo has known Y/N since she was a toddler. When Reidy first started working at Bondi he would always bring her around when he couldn’t get someone to watch her, so she’d hang out in the tower with everyone.

All of the lifeguards love having her there. She’s like their little peak of sunshine on rainy days, so when she’d start having trouble breathing like she is now. They’d all be trying to help her and get her anything she wanted or needed, which most of the time was her dad.

When Reidy came back to the tower and saw Hoppo out on the board with his daughter he immediately sprinted down there and made it in time to help her onto the sand.

Reidy sat behind her while Harries got the oxygen mask for her to breathe into.

"Here sweetheart. Breathe into this." Reidy puts the mask over her nose and mouth and lets her breathe carbon dioxide. They all sit by her while Reidy rocks them both side to side and strokes her hair.

After a few minutes her heart rate is in normal range and she feels better.

"You feeling better now?" Hoppo asks.

"Yeah, just tired." Y/N answers and takes the sweatshirt Maxi is handing her. "Thank you guys."

"Don’t thank us. We’d do anything for you, we love you." Harries gives her a bear hug.

"Well, I love you guys too."

Home For Christmas [Grayson Dolan] 🎄

Description: Grayson's ex will be at the Christmas party he is attending. Y/N pretends to be Grayson’s fiancé.

A/N Day 10 of 12 Days of Christmas!

Grayson immediately panicked when he heard that Giselle was going to the Christmas party. And who does he call when he panics?

Well, Ethan, but Ethan couldn't help him this time.

He called Y/N, the twins best friend.

"Gray. I just got in bed, and we just got off the phone like forty-five minutes ago." She whines.

"Y/N/N this is important!" He exclaims. "Giselle is going to the Christmas party!"

"How'd you not know that? She goes every year when she can." She wonders.

"That's not important! Do you not remember what I told her when we broke up?"

"Yeah I remember your dumbass saying "Oh I'll have a girlfriend the next time you see me and then you'll realize what you lost.". Is that what you're talking about?" Y/N asks sarcastically. "Not that I don't agree with the last part." She adds.

"Yes." Grayson sighs. "I know it was dumb, but I need you to do something for me."

"Like what?"

"I need you to pretend to be my fiancé."

"You're joking right?"

The twins, Y/N and Ethans fiancé, Noel, had all flown to Jersey to spend Christmas with the twins family.

Grayson had bought a engagement ring and gave it to Y/N after explaining the situation to Ethan and Noel, who both thought Grayson was insane.

"So how are we going to explain this to the rest of your family?" Y/N asks as they get out of the car to get their bags and bring them inside.

"Well they all already know I like you so they won't question that." Grayson says nonchalantly before going inside, leaving Y/N standing there in shock.

"I can't believe you're going to marry my baby! Oh I'm so happy!" Lisa exclaims while bear hugging Y/N.

She had seen the ring on Y/N's finger during Christmas Eve dinner and questioned her, but Grayson explained before she could.

"Congratulations! We were all waiting for this to happen." Cameron says.

See, that's the thing. With Grayson's comment the day before, they still hadn't had time to talk about it, and Y/N was still wondering what exactly he meant, but with the way his family is acting, she's getting really confused.

He's never seemed to have those feelings before now.

Grayson walks into the living room the next morning with a cup of coffee for Y/N,  just how she likes it and sits in the rocking chair before pulling her down in his lap.

Y/N was about to lose her mind. He acted like this was totally normal. Could he not see how confused she was?

They still hadn't had time to talk about it, because they couldn't get any time alone. There was either always family around or Grayson was busy doing "man" things with Ethan.

She planned to finally talk to him about it while they were getting ready for the party after they were done with presents.

"You guys excited for the Christmas Party?" Lisa asks.

"Yeah, it will be great." Grayson says and smiles up at Y/N.

"Yeah, it will be fun."

"Gray, I have a few questions." Y/N starts as she brushes her hair out.

"Yeah?"

"The other day when we got here, you said that your family already knew that you like me. What does that mean?" She asks as she watches him do his hair.

"Well, I've always had feelings for you Y/N. I thought you already knew that?" Grayson looks at her through the mirror with a confused expression, just like hers.

"You seriously think that you would have dated that cheating bitch if I knew you had feelings for me too?"

"You have feelings for me too?"

"Yes, you idiot!" Y/N chuckles.

Grayson was going to respond, but Ethan knocked on the door.

"Guys it's time to go!"

They both look at each other.

"We'll talk more later?" Grayson asks. Y/N nods and opens the door, finally feeling a weight lifted off of her shoulders.

At the party Grayson searched the room for his ex, but didn't see her.

"So where's Giselle?" Y/N asks as she wraps her hand around his bicep.

"I'm not sure. Her parents are here." He nods to the older couple across the room.

"She can't be too far then, unless she actually isn't coming." Y/N says.

"Yeah, I'd be ok with that though."

The party was great. Y/N and Grayson danced, ate, drank, took pictures with family and friends and played some games.

It felt right. Like she is supposed to be by Grayson's side and seeing just how happy everyone is about their "engagement" made her wish it was real.

They had said their goodbyes and went back to Lisa's house around ten at night, but Grayson and Y/N weren't ready to go to sleep.

"Let's go ice skate." Grayson says as he pulls out two pairs of skates. His and a pair for Y/N he had gotten specifically for their rink.

Y/N nods and follows Grayson outside. They put their skates on in silence, but once they get on the ice, they start to talk.

"It feels nice being here with you and the rest of your family, not just as your friend, even if it isn't real."

"It could be real. If you wanted it to be." Grayson says quietly as he gets closer to her.

"Us being together, or engaged?"

"How about both? I know you've been ready to settle down, and so have I. We know each other inside and out." Grayson pulls her close to him, engulfing her in his arms.

"I don't want you to settle for me though. If there is some girl that could make you really happy I want you to be with her." Y/N says as she looks into his eyes.

"The only woman who can make me really happy, in that way, is you." He admits.

"Are you sure?"

"Are you sure?" Grayson counters. Y/N nods. "So will you let me bring you home for Christmas every year?" He leans in.

"Of course." Y/N presses her lips to his and wraps her arms around him as best as she can.

When they finally let go of each other, Grayson smiles at her.

"I love you Y/N."

"I love you too Gray."

Medic [Josh ‘Burkey’ Burke]

Description: Australian Army Medic, Lieutenant Y/N Y/L/N, arrives home from her deployment early and learns that her ex-boyfriend, Josh, is still in love with her, even after two years of being away.

A/N: I do not know how the Army in Australia is ran, so this may not be correct.

Y/N stepped out of the airport and into the Australian heat. It was quite similar to the weather in Iraq.

She looked around and smiled. Two whole years away from this beautiful place. She didn't know how she survived that long away from home.

Australian Army Lieutenant Y/N Y/L/N is a medic, and just arrived back home from a twenty-four month deployment to Iraq where she worked at the base in the hospital. She'd treat soldiers most of time, but had civilians quite often.

She liked what she did, but she missed Australia. She missed her family, and friends. She missed Josh.

Josh is Y/N's ex boyfriend. They didn't break up because of something bad. They broke up because Y/N didn't want Josh to wait for her. She didn't want him to worry about her making it back. She wanted him to be free and live his life.

Y/N had told Josh "If we're meant to be together, we will find our way back to each other." She still loves him, but doesn't want to overstep if he is in a relationship.

Josh has spent the last two years working. He'd just recently got a job at Bondi Beach as a trainee and he loved it. He had became friends with all of the other lifeguards but he was still lonely, and he knew why. He missed Y/N. Y/N and Josh started dating when they were sixteen and broke up five years later at the age of twenty-one.

The day Y/N told him she was training to become a medic for the army was one of the best and worst days of his life. He was ecstatic for Y/N, but he also knew the risk of deployment. He didn't want to get a phone call one day to hear she had been killed. He wanted her to be safe, with him and not thousands of miles away. He'd never told her that. He let her break up with him and leave, without ever knowing if they'd see each other again.

Y/N had made it to her apartment and dropped her bags off. She had people to see.

First on her list was Josh's mom, who had also become Y/N's mom since her parents weren't around.

She made it to the Burke household and smiled. Everything was the same. Beautiful flowers, birds and the beach.

Mrs. Burke was walking around her house when she saw a familiar woman standing at the end of her sidewalk in military uniform. She gasped, ran to the door and threw it open.

"Y/N! Sweetheart you're home!" She exclaims and pulls the medic into a bone crushing hug.

"I'm home mom." Y/N smiles.

"I thought you had a few more months left." Mrs. Burke wipes the tears from her eyes and checks Y/N over. She looks the same, except her hair is different and the uniform almost makes her unrecognizable.

"I did, but they offered me a job at the new Military Hospital they're building. It's permanent." Y/N smiles.

"That's great honey! God, I'm so proud of you! How are you? Are you hungry?" She asks Y/N multiple questions and Y/N just laughs and shakes her head.

"I'm alright. I actually have a few questions though."

"Of course. Go ahead." Y/N looks down to the ground and takes a deep breath.

"How's Josh?" Mrs. Burke's eyes light up.

"Josh is good. He really misses you and talks about you all the time. He’s still in love with you."

"The feelings are mutual."

"Well, I know for a fact he's been single since you left, so if you want to go see him he's at Bondi Beach. He's a trainee lifeguard."

"Really?! He's always wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps."

"Yes sweetheart! You should go down there, his break starts soon!"

Y/N made it to Bondi and just soaked in the view. It was picture perfect. Sunny, clear water, and decent waves. It was absolutely beautiful. She looks over at the tower and decides to go there to find Josh.

She's met most of the lifeguards since she and Josh came to Bondi all of the time, she just hoped they remembered her.

Y/N walks along the promenade to the door and knocks when she arrives. She waits a few seconds and then it opens. She's greeted with the confused face of Hoppo.

"Hi, you may not remember me-."

"Y/N? Is that you?!" Hoppo exclaims. Y/N nods and Hoppo bear hugs her. "You've grown so much, and you look different since the last time I saw you." Hoppo says.

"Yeah, so I've been told." She laughs.

"Well, what can I do for you?" Hoppo leads her into the empty tower.

"Well, I've been told Josh Burke is your trainee, and I'd like to surprise him." Y/N says. Hoppo nods.

"Did you just get back today?" He gestures to her uniform.

"Yeah. I was supposed to have a few more months, but I got hired at the new Military Hospital."

"Good for you!" Hoppo smiles. "I can get Josh up here for you. Just give me one second." Y/N nods and Hoppo grabs the radio.

Josh was with Harrison patrolling the flags and they were due for their break any minute now. The two lifeguards were talking about going surfing when a voice came through their radios.

"Bondi Central to Black Rhino. Come up to the tower boys."

Josh grabs his radio and replies. "On our way."

Harrison drives up to the tower and parks the Rhino by the stairs. They continue their conversation while walking up the stairs, both failing to notice the woman in uniform.

"Burkey, Hutz! Aren't you going to say hello?" Deano, who'd recently gotten back from his break asks as he points his phone at the boys, recording them. They stop and look.

"Hello-." Josh cuts himself off when he realizes who the woman is. "Y/N!" Josh shoves Harrison out of his way and sprints up the stairs. He makes it to Y/N and picks her up in a hug. "You're back?!" Josh lets her lean back.

"I'm back!" Y/N replies with a big smile and teary eyes. Josh digs his face into her shoulder as he lets tears fall.

"I love you so much. Please don't leave again. Please don't leave me again."

"As long as you want me, I will never leave again." Y/N says.

"I’ll always want you." Josh replies and kisses the top of her head. "Don’t ever doubt that."
