I'm getting the feeling that the Karen mooning over Billy thing is a very brief part of the first episode before chaos ensues with the missing lifeguard.

My opinion on the Karen Wheeler thing

People should stop trying to justify what she’s doing by “But it’s the 80’s” because it doesn’t make it any better. People burned women for being accused of witchcraft in some centuries, doesn’t mean we should just shrug it off because they did it in that time. Doesn’t make it right.

Some people should stop pulling the woman card and accusing people of misogyny of not liking what she’s doing. I get that she’s unhappy with her marriage and should def find someone else but not a 17/18 year old boy. Stop trying to shrug off the problems of men because women got treated the same. Both genders need defending in this situations. I get that they switched the genders in pretty little liars with that situation and I didn’t watch the show but in their situation it was not right and here it is not right. Her being an unhappy woman does not make it ok to hit on an 17/18 year old. Just because Billy didn’t openly tell her to screw off doesn’t confirm that he likes it ether.

However, I do wish that Karen would not be presented as a predator, divorce Ted, take care of her kids and be an independent woman. She does have potential to be a strong character, not just a woman that’s unhappy so she instantly tries to fuck teens. I would be happy if she found a man that’s at least over 21
