Because Brenner is influenced by so heavily by Keyes, I have a hard time accepting him as 100% evil. Brenner was curious like he was but unfortunately I think the curiosity came with some sinister consequences for Dr. Brenner.

If the Duffer Bros really did cater to fan service Matthew Modine would have been strutting around in suits constantly being an over the top Brenner in S2. Sadly this didn't happen.
