When someone in this fandom does that “hate the character respect the actor” meme crap in relation to Dr. Brenner:
Maybe this is what was meant by Stranger Things was going to stop using so many 80s references this season. Camp Nowhere is a 90s movie but Dustin's story probably follows the plot.
I was really looking forward to a full page profile on Dr. Brenner in the new book but whatever.
Oh, I think quite a few characters are working for him but are very good at faking it, even some of the people we think are heroes.
I really wouldn't be surprised if Hopper is actually working for him or even related to him this whole time and that's the big twist of the series. I've been thinking about it for quite a while. Dude is going to end up using the Byers family for nefarious reasons.
Theory time , What if Becky is working with Dr Brenner, I was watching season 1 ep 6 tonight and when she was talking about Terry and thinking Jane was real (remember at the point no one besides the boys knew that Jane/Eleven was real) She said something like “You two (Hopper and Joyce) look scared havent y’all ever read Stephen King”… the way she said it it was kinda weird
I just scrolled through the new book and Brenner may as well not exist as a character in the series. They really do not give a shit about him now.
