The sun had just made it’s way into the sky, shining warmly onto the college students who hurried to their morning classes. The birds chirped, signalling their awakening and the campus speakers played soothing music to add a relaxing ambiance to the aura of college grounds. It was definitely an enjoyable atmosphere for the early birds who were awake. (Y/n), however, was not one of them. She was never a morning person, scheduling her classes as late as possible. Unfortunately for her, her roommate had forgotten his textbook for class and the professor would have a fit if he showed up without it. There wasn’t enough time for him to go all the way back to the dorms, which was all the way across campus from where his classes were held, so his only option was to wake his roommate up with a call and demand she get up out of bed and bring his book to his class.

“Jihoon, you totally owe me big time,” she muttered to herself as she ran to his classroom, dodging the other students around her. She still wore her pyjamas –although, it wasn’t a very surprising sight to see during these hours– and her hair was a mess. After the 5 minute run, she finally arrived, her eyes landing on Jihoon who was waiting a few meters away from her, outside the law facility.

There was a faint smell of copper in the air as Jungkook regained consciousness, a fabric pulled over his eyes shrouding him in darkness. His feet ached, his ankles were swollen and throbbing, but he was more concerned about the silence. Or lack thereof.

“What are you doing to us?! Where are we?!” Jungkook quickly recognized the voice, struggling as he attempted to make a sound to alert his brother of his state.

“You’ll be quiet if you know what’s good for you, Park.” The voice was gruff but unfamiliar as Jungkook felt the dryness in his throat silence him. He grunted, stiffening as he felt movement beneath his feet.

You shift nervously on the ladder, looking down to realize just how high up you are right now. You breathe. It’s fine, it’s absolutely, totally fine. You reach up again, trying to position the star on top just right. The ladder teeters. You gulp.

Just a little farther… You’re on your toes now, silently praying that this ladder doesn’t collapse beneath you, because if it does, you’re done for.

This has to perfect– and not because you’re a perfectionist or anything, but because your boyfriend would undoubtedly start a spiel on how he could have done it better. You roll your eyes to yourself and imagine the face he’ll make if he sees that you’ve place the star on lopsided. It would be something between arrogant and fake surprised. So, sure you needed a whole ladder and not just a stool, but whatever would wipe that look off his face would be fine by you.
