Entwined Hearts hasn’t been mentioned here before, but I’m glad you and everyone care to read, vote, and comment on it. I’m making sure to update the next chapters soon, at least this October, I don’t plan to take a hiatus from it. The longest I stopped writing for the story was 2 months, and now it’s a year old, around the same month date as Persona’s 25th anniversary that was pretty coincidental, really. It’s still something else when the views on Wattpad go up. 5k readers as of now have impressed me.

And thank you for the reminder of looking after myself. Writing Persona content has always been my most favorite pastimes, for both Entwined Hearts and other works. Balancing them isn’t always easy when you need to focus on one thing to finish it, but I try to maintain everything as steady as I can.

Oh, I’m fine. To be honest, I’ve just been taking time off from writing because of some writer’s block, unwillingly unmotivated to put thought into text, and other things in my personal life like my side job. I really do plan to get myself back into this blog and my Entwined Hearts story because I do have the same passion for them as when I first started. And that includes making those requests that haven’t been posted yet.

I won’t be inactive indefinitely, rest assured. When I come back I’ll be finishing Entwined Hearts’ chapter 16 first and then move on to write one of the requests. Though I can’t completely guarantee the plan will be followed through.

There’s a calmness that stills you over the silent atmosphere, all except for the crackling of wood and fire. Your body is warmed up from your pyjamas, and the blanket wrapped around your back. Taking a sip from your mug, you let out a soft sigh. You weren’t going to be moving from your sitting position in front of the fireplace anytime soon.

The press of a heated body against you is now apparent, with an arm curling around your waist to hold you more firmly. The man lets out a gentle hum as he rests his cheek on the side of your head. The two of you shared the big blanket together, choosing to take the time to relax over the cold weather outside.

Slowly turning your head, you gaze over Ren’s handsome features. The fire from the hearth reflected some light on his face. His pitch black hair was as messy and curly as ever. Though the fake glasses he usually wore were removed, showcasing his strikingly gray eyes more visibly. You thought Ren was charming with or without them.

There’s a softness that graces your lover’s expression, one serene that was filled with contentment. An obvious contrast from his usual poker face around others.

Feeling your stare, Ren looks down to greet you with a gentle smile. Setting his own cup of hot chocolate down, the noiret goes to nuzzle your temple with his nose.

You lean further into him, going so close as to resting your face against his chest, arms wrapped around him. With the steadiness of Ren’s heartbeat reaching your ear, soothing your being.

You could stay like this for hours, covered in each other’s warmth without a problem for the cold or a single worry in the world. And Ren is more than willing to oblige.

There’s a tremble in your shoulders that he noticed. Your hands were gripping the blanket in such a strong hood your knuckles turned white. Akira’s brows scrunched with concern as he observed more of your actions.

The two of you were at your place for a relaxing day to spend together. You spent time watching a few movies, playing video games, talking, going through the group chat in discussion of the Phantom Thieves’ next heist.

Late afternoon came by when the two of you took a nap together, lying on your bed in a cuddle.

It was peaceful at for the past 20 minutes until Akira woke up hazily to see you. Your breathing was deep, your body couldn’t help but turn over many times.

He reached a hand to brush your hair to soothe you. It already dawned on him that you were having a nightmare. And he already had a feeling on what it was.

“Treasure...” Akira’s smooth voice gently calls out.

That single word was enough to jolt you awake. Startled, you immediately sit back up and dart your eyes around the room for any suspicious movements, face in a slight panic with your body still trembling.

Your lover didn’t hesitate to embrace you, chin resting on the top of your head.

“It’s only me, (Y/N)... No one else, okay?” Akira rarely ever calls you your name unless he felt the need to.

Rubbing a hand down your back, he made sure not to linger on the healed scar for too long.

Your body seemed to ease better once you realized it was only him, and relaxed despite the small tears threatening to fall.

“Just listen to my heartbeat, Treasure. And you’ll know it’s real.” he whispered.

Feeling Akira like this, you’re met from fear to peace.

“T-thank y-you..” you manage to whimper out.

His only response back is a kiss on your forehead.

Your mind seemed to suddenly arose from slumber. Eyes still closed, you shifted a little to get a more comfortable position. Now that you were slightly conscious, you could hear the rain coming down outside. The good thing about today was that it was your day off, so you could sleep in as much as you wanted. But what made it better were a pair of familiar strong arms wrapped around your body.

You could hear his soft breathing as he pulled you closer to him. Holding you close to his chest with no intention of letting go. Even after all these years into the growth of your relationship, your heart still flutters from his display of affection every time.

Opening your eyes a bit that was filled with sleepiness, you saw Akira’s face completely relaxed, his messy black hair that usually covered his forehead was pushed aside. No matter what position or angle, he always looked attractive.

With the sound of rain matching the calming atmosphere in the morning, you couldn’t be bothered to get up. Instead choosing to seek more of your husband’s body heat and cuddles. You move closer to rest your head under the crook of his neck, arms returning the embrace. Your legs went to tangle with his own as you let out a content sigh.

“Treasure...” Akira murmured softly, tightening his hold of you further. His deep and smooth voice raspy from sleep.

You only hum in response, letting his steady heartbeat play as a lullaby.

The frizzy haired male presses a kiss on your forehead. “Let’s stay here longer, okay?”

His larger hand that always engulfed your own reached up to run his fingers through your hair. The two of you only take your rings off when necessary, like going to bed, so there was no small sensation of coolness when Akira reached out to cup your cheek.

“Yeah,” you answer softy, finally opening your eyes enough to see his gray ones. They were as tired as yours from the sudden wake, but held as much love in them as they always have.

“You’re making breakfast, though...”

A light chuckle escaped his lips at your words. “Whatever you wish for, Mrs. Kurusu.”

Yeah, the day could be boring to most with the rainy weather, but not for you two. Wrapped in the warm embrace of Akira, there’s nowhere else you’d ever be.

I was skeptical on whether or not to post it here since I was not too into the results, but I figured why not. Maybe over time my skills will improve; making digital art is different compared to paper to me.
