Summary: You and Kim Seokjin have been rivals, in Quidditch, academics, and pretty much everything else, for almost seven years. But even though nothing more has happened in those seven years, you can’t help but feel that he’s a little different around you now. Or maybe it’s you who feels differently towards him? 

Enter Yoongi, your best friend who finally has the guts to ask Kim Taehyung, who happens to be Kim Seokjin’s adopted child, out on a date. A/N: Finally it’s here!! This was unexpectedly long and it’s a bit out of my comfort zone because I usually do friends to lovers things but I hope you guys like it anyway. I’m getting pretty busy with college (even though i’m still a freshman) so I think my next upload will be pretty short (but definitely sweet). 

“Jeon Jungkook if you don’t get your ass down here in twenty seconds I will personally drag your corpse along the Quidditch field,” you bellowed into the stairwell leading up to the fifth-year boy’s dormitory.

“I’m coming, I’m coming!” Jungkook huffed as he ran down the stairways, broom and gloves in hand. “God, do you have to make so much noise in the morning?”

“Do you have to be twenty minutes late for everything, including official matches?” you scolded the maknae again, grabbing the back of his Quidditch robes and promptly dragging him with you out of the Slytherin dormitory.

Summary:  He was a big deal, you were pretty shocked to see his work yourself. You could’ve sworn it was your photograph, the image on the screen looking precisely like what you saw through the lands of your camera. That is, until you watched his fast drawing of it, slow steps leading him in a confident way towards perfection. You’ve never seen him before, but you’ve heard a lot about him. He had other, original works up on his website too, but the only artist he ever honored with art was you.

Driving to photoshoot locations have always been the favorite part of your work schedule. The sun shines in its brightest colors, finally not blocked away by tall buildings. The windows rolled down, warm wind playing with your hair and the radio keeping you company with honey voices.

This is what freedom feels like.

And it’s not that your job was restricting in any sense – being a photographer has always been your dream. Ever since your mother bought you your first camera as a child, you enjoyed capturing the world. Your pictures turned out well, and as you grew older they became more professional.

Your real breakthrough was when you were approached by a teens’ magazine to do a photoshoot produced by a team of teens. They wanted a photographer who’s a teen as well, but refused to settle for a lesser quality of pictures – a mission that seemed impossible until they came across your work.

Since then, the offers kept coming. You had a reputation and a name recognized by many before you even finished high school. It was a great honor by any scale, but you still felt a bit smaller then all those titles.

You could hear your ringtone playing from the back seat, and it wasn’t the first time since you entered your car. You knew it was probably your schedule manager, but he should have known after months of working by your side that picking up calls was far from being your strong side. Besides, you’ll arrive at the set any minute now, whatever he has to tell you could wait that little while instead of bringing work into your time in paradise.

That time ended way too soon with a sign on the side of the road alarming you of the exit you need to take. You rolled your windows up, lowered the volume of the radio and buttoned your shirt. You’ll need both hands to fix your hair, so that’ll have to wait until you park the car.

 The road became bumpy when you diverted from the high way. It’s weird, but this wild moment was just what got the serious expression to pull your face into a mature look – this is the sign that you arrived at work. There were signs on the trees, telling you which was to turn and which corners to round until you reached the cliff that will be the your set.

 You tried to think back about your conversation with your manager about this photoshoot. He said it was a commercial, but the brand-carrying types of works always held less interest to you, so you didn’t bother listening to more he had to say. You were hoping something from his boring presentation stuck anyways, but the sun found you again as you broke through the trees before you could come up with anything.

 The first person you spotted as you stopped your car was your manager. He gave you a stern shake of his head as he removed his phone from his ear. Only then did you notice your ringtone stopped from your backseat. You gave him the most innocent smile you could master as you stepped out of the car, your camera’s case in hand.

 "Why don’t you ever pick up your phone,“ He huffed at you. His words didn’t even sound like a question even though the grammar suggested they, in fact, formed one.

 He knew you too well to actually ask you.

“I like your keychain.”

The boy glanced over at you at the sound of your compliment, staring through his clear-rimmed oval glasses that seemed to magnify his dark brown eyes and the surprise he held in them. By the looks of it, your sudden speech had caught him off guard, because it took him a couple seconds to realize what you had just said. His gaze traveled to his backpack that was placed atop his desk where the item of your interest was hooked carefully onto one of the zipper pullers.

The keychain consisted of four metal charms, each unique in its design. The one positioned on the bottom was a bright, yellow square with a white punctuation mark in the middle that represented a certain question block you were very familiar with. The three charms above it were a variety of power-ups in the colorful shapes of two mushrooms and a flower, all from the same franchise as the first—the best franchise, you might add.

“Thanks,” your classmate finally responded, turning back to you with a tentative expression and an inquiry to match. “You like Mario?”

“I love Mario.”
