Hey! I Only Started Working With Brigid Immediately After Last Imbolc (her Holiday). I Have Been Prone

hey! I only started working with Brigid immediately after last Imbolc (her holiday). I have been prone to visions and clairvoyance type situations, so she literally appeared to me in a vision and told me she was the main goddess watching over me (I had worked with other deities before) and that she was waiting for me to realise my purpose and potential before stepping forward. This was also around the time I decided to actually commit to writing including writing a novel. Brigid is a goddess of poetry and enjoys creativity like this, so that was interesting! I felt a strong attachment to things she is associated with at this time too.

Followers of Brigid,

How did you understand that she was calling you? I think she might be, but I needed help differentiating between my impulsiveness and a true nudge, you get what I'm saying!

What are the signs? What's she like, what's your impression of her personality? I wanna know everything about her.

Maybe it runs in the family. Maybe I peek at the cards and rehearse before I start recording. (LOL Who has the time?) Or maybe it's just because I know all these techniques by heart. The idea that some pagans have that you cannot view a deity as a lover, a close friend, as your child, as your parent, is so funny to me as someone who is both Hindu and pagan

In bhakti, there are different types of Bhava, or feelings. There is Shanta Bhava, where the devotee is peaceful. Dasya Bhava, where one serves the deity wholeheartedly and finds joy and bliss in service. Sakhya Bhava, where the deity is a friend of the devotee. Vatsalya Bhava, where the devotee sees the deity as their child. Madhurya/Kanta Bhava, where the devotee sees the deity as their lover.

And to call these practices "humanization of deities" just feels disrespectful to me. If you don't understand it then that's completely fine. But to disrespect forms of devotion just because you think it's "too weird to be real" is just not okay.
