oftentimes i get so excited about accomplishing all sorts of multitudes of amazing shit that i don’t actually accomplish anything because i’m too busy fantasizing about how great everything i do will be that i don’t get anything done in the first place.

this is my clarification that i am not in fact sad and summer is good

i have officially completed my freshman year of college, and as you may have inferred, this means I successfully did not drop out. i am proud of myself so i am going to eat cupcakes and play smash bros for as long as i goddamn feel like it because i can do whatever i fucking want with me life

Until I’d run the Boston Marathon, I had no idea that an entire city could, without calculation or reservation, express so much love.

That’s what I thought about when I saw the explosion, and the police who ran toward the scene rather than away from it. I grieved for the runners and spectators who had been hurt or killed. And I wondered what would happen to all that love.

I hope it never goes away.
