Think about it: John spent his whole time trying to fight off demons, just to feel not confident in himself, because the demon that he tried to kill actually possessed him. Father Garcia knew something was off, so he tells him to get into the car, John starts to feel unwell, and he starts to turn into a demon, starting the cycle over again for Father Garcia. It’s an endless loop…. That makes the bad ending so much more terrible, and it gives you more of an impact. I love it!
