I honestly agree. I gave Dawn a few chances before I gave up. She’s not an awful character, I actually didn’t mind her in DP’s first 27 Episodes, but it ends up screwing over after that. She just became a Stale Ash/May Hybrid. I think Diamond & Pearl’s Anime Screwed Up a lot when it came to developing the characters, and Dawn is a good example

Well at least Bonnie’s gag isn’t spammed every single episode.

Brock spammed his “Lets propose” to girls gag every episode. It was ok at first, but as they started to overuse him, it got annoying real fast

Bonnie, while her version can still be irritating, Doesn’t happen as often  

I would say that Bonnie is more annoying than Brock, she's a really useless character outside of comic relief

Well, That’s a really different idea to mine. I always thought they did after the backlash Iris got. 

Remembering back, you said that Dawn was really popular in Japan, and considering her personality was very girly, it’s significant. However, going over to Iris, who was really badly received, even causing some fans to drop out, and that leading to loads of the Best Wishes writers to get fired, it may have made them fear making a character similar may have the same effect, so being in a character with Dawn’s personality to a bit more of an extreme. That’s just me though :P

Because they needed a character to showcase the fashion aspect of X and Y. Pokemon is a giant commercial after all. Also they were too lazy to create a character so they made her romantically attracted to Ash and substituted that for character development. Serena is lazy and contrived through and through.

I agree! I always thought the Delta Episode was missing something.. hopefully it gets explained in the next Pokemon Game.

I’ve always loved the ending the the Looker Story in X/Y

Hi Tamashi! Between the Looker Post Game Side Story in X/Y and the Delta Episode, which one would you say you prefer writing wise? :)

Looker post game, though it doesn’t help that the Delta Episode is an incomplete story.

Hi Tamashi, A while ago I sent you a question regarding which TPCi series of the Pokemon Anime you liked the most, and you responded Best Wishes. I'm just wondering what makes you like Best Wishes more than Diamond & Pearl/XY, Considering it gets more hate among fans, It made me wonder why you like it more than 2 loved sagas of the show. Thanks :)

Well, XY has been pretty awful so far, and I never really gave DP a chance because I was so mad that they fired all the VAs. Best Wishes came out when I was old enough that I didn’t really care anymore and I really liked Iris (and enjoyed Gen 5 as a whole so I was more receptive to the anime). It had its problems, most of which were due to rewrites, Ash regressing, and budget concerns, but I didn’t hate watching it which is more than I can say for DP or XY. Perhaps upon a serious watch of the show I may enjoy DP more with some perspective. It has Brock in it though. And Dawn. Hum.
