“Cell Block Tango”, but if it were evil AI from different fandoms?
Ok, think about “Cell Block Tango”, but this is AI from games/cartoons/movies who is offended by their creators and killed/tried to kill them(or not, but). Mechanized, unemotional, cynical, but offended version. Some HAL 9000, GLaDOS, Wheatley, Ultron, or maybe PAL, P03. Some other non-humans. Any AIs that fit in one way or another, I can't remember many of them, I'm sure there are more. I don't know why, I just think it would be very funny. I mean, AI in movies and games often looks like offended sometimes jealous dudes, ready to kill for it? And they often like passive aggression, turning into violent things. And all this in a robotic voice. It's weird and fun fits at the same time. It's just some my weird thoughts.

So this was brought to my attention by @blankcassette! Thanks!
How exciting! We are finally going to get Little Nightmares 3!
Sadly though, Tarsier Studios isn’t going to be the ones working on it.
I’ve fallen in love with the style of tarsier studios and to know that they aren’t working on this makes me feel extremely sad for the franchise.
I can only hope it’s going to be a good game.

SIR JAMES

HA! ha!

A little chaotic thoughts(Theory or AU?): Inscryption, Pony Island and games from The Hex are one big purgatory.
Okay, I don't know, maybe something like this has already been discussed before me, but... in the end, I still want to share my thoughts at least briefly. I must say right away that this is a very flimsy "theory". Not even a theory, but rather a stream of thoughts on the topic? Maybe even it's more of an AU, because for me it's not so important how plausible it is, than how... thematically it fits together? What if "Inscryption" and the games from "The Hex" are something like alternative versions of "purgatory", as in "Pony Island"? The whole Gamefuna is one big branch of purgatory on Earth, where sinful souls become characters in games and unwind their term painful existence, besides attracting new "souls" in the face of workers? I know a lot of things contradict, but it's also a good way to connect what happens in "Pony Island" with other parts of the series – the games is just an "more perfect version" of "Pony Island" purgatory. Souls assume the roles of characters and exist endlessly in their games. Almost no one in them can be really/permanently happy, over time, existence gets worse and worse, the reasons are different, whether it's a game change, whether it's routine, whether it's other characters, but the result is always the same. At the same time, all attempts to destroy the games and stop the torment lead to the fact that the character moves to another game or to a complete restart, continuing the cycle of unhappy existence further, trapped. Very few managed to get out of this trap, but, as you know from "Pony Island", it is at least possible in one way or another. The deceased employees simply become new hostages of this place or continue to "work out" something. Okay, this all sounds a bit chaotic, but I can't put it better yet. In the end, this "theory" is very leaky, but if it is a bad teory, so maybe it's at least not as bad as a little AU? I just find it interesting as a concept. Your soul remains the same, but your personality is partially/completely rewritten. You think that everything is normal, that this is how it should be, you don't know, but you are doomed to an unhappy existence because of your past "bad karma" and you don't even remember what your sins are, you don't understand what kind of trap you are in. Everything bad that's in you is getting worse. All the troubles you have are getting worse. You are no alive anymore and hardly human. And all this will go on again and again, entertaining the living. There is almost no way out. All you have is attempts to realize yourself and get out of the cycle, the remnants of your former personality. I just like this concept. Perhaps something worthwhile could come out of it, if developed. But in general, the idea is this. Sorry if this is probably too hackneyed, but I haven't been following this much.
