The way that people get SO upset with Snow because she “never really accepted Emma” and only wanted a baby makes me SO INCREDIBLY ANGRY. The woman had an INCREDIBLY traumatic birth in a period with no pain meds and a high possibility of her dying, and then her husband was stabbed in front of her while in the middle of labor, I don’t even think her placenta exited her body, and then she was placed under a curse for twenty-eight years.

Snow was in post-partum for TWENTY. EIGHT. YEARS. And she didn’t even fucking know it. She could feel she was missing something, just as David could feel that stab wound. Do you ever think she woke up in the morning with just the most gut wrenching pains imaginable, unable to classify what they are, and then had to just continue her day because she was still contracting but didn’t even know it?

If you’ve ever had that dream where you’re a parent and it feels just so real, imagine that every night for twenty eight fucking years, but you can never even quench that urge because you aren’t married and you don’t have any children and you have to be happy and smiling every single day because that’s what everyone expects.

So yeah, I’m not going to blame the grieving mother for wanting a baby. Her body physically knows no other way to be.
