Starting to untangle this Gordian knot a little this afternoon.
Part of the reason I want to move away from biographical/non-fiction comics, is that I get to draw weird things like this.
Time to get back to these folks. I should have finished this personal project months back, but had to put it down a number of times due to scheduling.
Finished the line work and started to think about color for this monster. Flipping through this shows the original and associated details for the piece. Quite a bit of reference was needed along the way with this.
From some of the last page. I'm ahead of this spot, but much of the imagery in the rest of the panels is a little upsetting when taken out of context- so I offer this instead.
