LISTENED FOR HOURS: Even though they had played together in First Arsch, Richard Z. Kruspe had to work hard to convince Till Lindemann to join his new musical project, especially as a singer. «I made my living as a basket weaver in Schwerin. From time to time I drummed with some punk bands for fun. Richard is an old friend of mine. My voice has always inspired him. I always sang loud at work, and he listened for hours. One day he brought tapes of new, super hard songs and told me to sing along. At first I didn’t feel like it, because I didn’t want to go to Berlin,» Lindemann told Bravo. «Richard talked to me for three days. Finally, he convinced me.»
