Alan Ritchson as Anders Lassen THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE (2024) Dir: Guy Ritchie
SINDAY FACTS that are depressing! I love this idiot.
The first person he fucks is pressed into the mattress, face first, and Nate closes his eyes and thinks of Nora. He barely speaks, just ruts into them like if he fucks hard enough, they'll turn into her. Like pressure on coal until it turns into a diamond (a wives tale, something that won't ever be true.)
And then he goes celibate for several months because he feels terrible about it. Because he knows he did get some enjoyment from it, sort of.. - and in his guilt he does not believe they did too - so the next few times, he pays for it and keeps his eyes closed and head fallen back. (Besides, it's the world's oldest profession. The world wouldn't be the world without it.)

parts of canon that I'd love to really dive into:
nate not wanting anyone to know he's from a pre-war era but having to tell certain people, those people grilling him about what it was like.
nate coming back from the institute, just absolutely shattered, numb, silent, and someone prying him open until he admits shaun leads it. and that he's named nate as successor. *
burying nora/bringing shaun home and burying him beside her. opening up about who nora was and the love they shared. really getting to describe her and their relationship. maybe talking about others that are gone.
the interaction with the chinese sub captain could have been so much more. i cry. two men, one responsible for the death of nate's home, who are just so tired. for the captain, it's been 200+ years. for nate, it was yesterday...
*one thing bethesda did was write the story up until two steps before the finish line. what changes can the sole survivor make? can the institute be used for good, what impact does that have on the CW?
**the guilt he carries for moving on after nora. ***weird sex habits. mwuahaha.
the end.

× he is not good at being sneaky. nate is a piss-poor liar and bad at anything to do with espionage. one reason he's bad at lying is due to the fact that yes, sometimes the truth hurts, but it's better at getting everything out in the open. it's just not something he does.
nate is, at his core, genuine and kind.
but he is also a bull in a china shop. this man is a ᴛᴀɴᴋ, and tanks are not quiet.
× does not want to have any more children in the MAIN verse. in any non-apoc verses, yes, he wants more. the american dream has always been his dream, too. he wants to wake at sunrise and kiss his lover's sleeping face.
× he does not care about leaving a legacy anymore.
× a little background: nate's parents had a good relationship with their son. he had a younger sister who he believes died in the initial fall of the bombs. his mother had passed a couple years before the end of the world, for which he is grateful now. she didn't see what monsters they had all become.
❛ your heart is beatin’ so fast righ’ now. ❜

" does it match yours? " they tell you history is written by the victorious. they don't tell you about the devastation those victors leave behind. nate surveys the damage. he sees the bodies they've left behind. the touch of death is against his chest; a palm presses over his heart and studies the rhythm. nate's head dips low, a hand moving to lift the edges of the cowboy hat. " got a lot of work to do here. " he grunts, dropping his hand to rian's shoulder. " but i think we take a break first. "
