Tango: wait Martyn didn’t you already try to guess my task

Martyn, hair moving as if by a breeze no one else feels, eyes glazing over and glowing, standing unnaturally still as his shadow morphs into the closest approximation of his Listener-touched body that any mortal could comprehend- an amalgamation of wings and hands and blinded eyes. The skies growing dark, plunging the world into a darkness that somehow feels cold and clawing. Whispers in languages no human tongue has ever spoken creep closer, like flashes caught out of your periphery, always there but never to be identified. The eerie sense that not matter how hard you struggle there will always be those who Watch and those who Listen tugging on your strings:

Okay, I’m not really passionate about the ship but you guys don’t understand how fucking hilarious Jarlo is as a concept. And it’s bc of this: John is a brat and Arlo is the only one who can discipline him. He wouldn’t take any shit from this whiny motherfucker.
