since i fully expect tumblr to monetize booping at a later date like they did with the crabs, here's your reminder to not give them any fucking money until they get their asses in gear and not only address but fix their moderation policies surrounding racism and transmisogyny and bigotry in general

Is it just me, or does anyone else hate the phrase "living my best life" like. Are you? Are any of us actually living our best lives when we say that, or is it just one of those things we tell ourselves nowadays. Like the soldiers in the first world war saying, "It'll all be over by Christmas"

Living a person's best life is to be living in completely fulfilled in every aspect possible and to want for absolutely nothing (or at least as close to that as sentient brains can get) but the thing is NO ONE is doing that. Not influencers, not happily married couples. NO ONE

Not even billionaires are that satisfied as they are constantly one-upping each other to get to space cos they aren't satisfied

So I ask again, is anyone really living their best lives, or are we all just lying to ourselves to hide from the nihilistic corporate nightmare we live in?

Or are we just so damaged by all the crap happening to us that we have to live through day to day and see in the world that we just have to lie to ourselves like this just to retain sanity?
