I’m just gonna say it… Leah and Jacob should’ve been endgame and it should have been planned out from the start.

We all know that smeyer planned breaking dawn/forever dawn from the literal JUMP, before new moon and eclipse. Meaning she planned out Jacob’s fate, Bella’s fate, etc etc. (Still don’t know why Jacob ends up imprinting on that demo-) anyway

Leah and Jacob’s arc together would’ve been the most developed arc in the series. Both went through heartbreak and grief of a parent and loss of identity when they shifted. And all of that trauma is still unresolved for them both. THAT could’ve been set up at the end of new moon or the beginning of eclipse as soon as it was realized that Bella was not gonna choose Jacob over Edward. Both of them learning how to heal and move on with each other wouldve been great character development. And not to mention their personalities just mesh so well and THEY HAVE GREAT CHEMISTRY WITHOUT TRYING.

AND I know people are gonna be like: Leah is way older than him

But that’s the thing. If smeyer had more than one brain cell, she would’ve seen this potential and just… CHANGED THEIR AGES. We’re forgetting this is a fictional story and things can be literally altered to make more sense.

The point is, Leah deserved better than to be hated and be known as the bitter bitch of the series, and Jacob deserved better to be known as the unwanted third wheel and the pedophile.
