How he found out you were insecure wasn't him at all. Alfonse decided to hang out with you and Elbert one sunny afternoon but couldn't help but notice you shying away uncomfortably when he saw all of the pretty things in the shops he wanted to buy

He even complimented women's beauty like it was normal, not even sparing a glance at you as he talked away. Alfonse liked you a lot. He liked Elbert a lot. And he likes the relationship you two are in. So he has to save the day

First, he decided to talk to you properly. He wanted to see how you saw it before he got anything wrong. When you told him how insecure he made you feel, you started to talk about how nice it was to be acknowledged by someone as beautiful as him and how you were insecure before your relationship

Then, he goes to his bestie. He never tells him what he does wrong. Instead, he asks questions to which Elbert answers to, realising what he has done

Elbert makes his way up to you in your shared room. He finds you tidying up the mess in his room, and he saw how your smile instantly dipped down the momrnt you saw him, which made his heart break

"Dear... I apologise for my behaviour toward you. I... didn't realise I was making your insecurities worse. I'm here to make you happy, to be responsible for the smile you put so elegantly on your face and now... I've failed...?

"Elbert, I-"

"No, let me finish. I love you so much. I love your eyes, your hair, your hands, your neck, your heart, your chest. Everything. You're perfect to me, and I don't want you to feel any different." He bends down on one knee in front of you, takes your hand in his, and kisses every finger. "You are the only one I bow down for"

After that, he made a silent promise not to make you feel like that again. To compliment you every day, not to talk about women so carelessly, and to make you feel loved, just how you made him feel
