reblog if it's okay for your mutuals to message you and create an actual friendship, not just interactions
People characterizing Wilson as like.. flirty and sultry never fails to have me cackling. Cause like- that man does not have game. Or at least, not intentionally.
Wilson isn't a foxy devil, he's a dorky awkward doofus who manages to ensnare everyone in his vicinity with his sad, sad brown eyes. Bro is not flirting and winking and shit, he's tripping in the hallway and looking around wide eyed to make sure no one saw him. He's not sluttily leading you on and making love to you with his eyes, He's taking 10 minutes to decide what pattern tie to wear and he's uncomfortably adjusting his shirt collar and saying shit like, "is it hot in here? it feels hot in here."
With Odysseus's return, the kingdom rejoices. Parties are held for weeks, plenty of his remaining war friends come to visit him, and all the people of Ithaca take their turn coming to see the king who was lost and found. Odysseus is a warm host, and if there's one thing he loves to do, it's talk. Which is great because the story of the longsuffering Odysseus is all anyone wants to hear. Telemachus sits there and smiles as he regularly watches rooms of people entranced at his father's words.
But I like to imagine that as soon as things have settled down a bit, and Telemachus has heard the story of his father's travels more times than he can count, Odysseus takes him on a weekend hunting trip at his grandfather's old land where he got the boar scar. They kill whatever they were after and then sit that evening next to each other as they cook it over a fire.
And all night long, Odysseus just... listens. No mention of Troy or his epic journey. No comparisons. No legend to live up to. The only time he talks is to ask questions so he can better understand the boy he missed out on raising.
Because Odysseus has waited twenty years to hear this story, and he wants to know every last detail.
in sitcom modern au, athena is an elderly uni voleyball team coach/pe teacher who had trained odysseus (who was also the captain of the team) before he decided to quit; she was VERY pissed of by this, because she thought ody was wasting his potential.
guess what? years later telemachus is on the same voleyball team. odysseus never really mentioned that he played voleyball in uni, so after telemachus calls his parents to tell them about his amazing coach named mrs. pallas, odysseus is like "huh. what an inspiring mentor indeed. i'm sure she didn't yell at you for the life decisions you made."
also a bunch of random headcanons:
– athena sends heroes on quests in every universe, expect in this one the heroes are students and the quests are something like "go to the nearest store and grab some canned olives for me. here's the money."
– she is retired from military (and probably was kicked out of the house when she was younger, but i'll think of it, since it kind of messes up timeline)
– mrs. pallas can be harsh or strict sometimes, but she loves her team dearly, even if she doesn't admit it. also her coaching style mainly consists of lots and lots of strategy
– team is called "warriors of the mind", and they have an owl for a mascot :)
– as the years go, athena lets students (and herself) have more fun, because, you know. no longer fighting to be known.
– she does all the coach/teacher things. if you're wondering – yes, she does call telemachus "odysseus" sometimes. yep.
