Sci-fi musical, TOOMORROW (1970), starring a young Olivia Newton-John. A throwaway 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoon, but with real people. The sets are nice though, as are the primitive special effects.

I’ve always considered this film a perfect blend of the disco 1970s and neon-colored 1980s. It’s not a very good film really, but its genre—ambitious musical fantasies with splashes of animation—doesn’t exist anymore, which I think is a shame; and it’s interesting just for that, as that tradition goes back to 1920s Hollywood, and even earlier.
The theme song, by Olivia Newton-John and ELO, is one of the earliest songs I can remember.
