Day 11 of Auctober!
Internal ableism is so hard to unlearn. It's a big part of my self esteem issues.
You're not a burden. You're not a disappointment. You're not a mistake. You are awesome!

@SWSOURCE STAR WARS WEEK Day 2: Trilogy Wars โ Favourite Trilogy THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY (1977-1983)
Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us, and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship.

Neurotypicals determined what good communication looked like then deemed anyone who didn't communicate like them as poor at communication.
It really irks me because I'm good at communicating provided I'm allowed to communicate in the way that's most comfortable to me.

Autistic sensory issues aren't just "this bothers and annoys me", it's very often much closer to "my brain is responding to this sensory input as if it's causing me physical pain." And that's why we often genuinely can't just ignore it and get used to it.
"But landlords have expenses too."
I don't care. Not even a little.
They could easily just choose not to be a landlord. Then, they wouldn't have those expenses.
You hoard a resource that people need to survive so you can profit, and I'm supposed to show you sympathy when that profit is not as much as you would like?

July is Disability Pride Month!
A disability is nothing to be ashamed of. We deserve the same respect, rights, love and happiness as everyone else. We live in an unaccommodating world and we should work together to change that! Let's band together, Disabled and Proud!
idk man. i just think itd be really cool if sign language classes were mandatory throughout primary school. yeah because it would make communication with deaf kids and autistic/nonverbal kids much easier. and those kids would be accessible to the others so they could make friends and have healthy relationships. yeah. and kids would eat that shit up man. like their own little secret language? they love that.
Can we talk for a moment about how lonely being autistic is? Nobody sees what you see. Nobody hears what you hear. What resonated with you doesn't resonate with anyone else.
Craving connection and nobody can know you.

Being autistic can be tiring, but most of the time it's not the autism that tires me, it's living in an unaccommodating world that's exhausting.

No no you don't understand! I want to watch this show/movie, read this book, listen to this podcast, etc.! But I must be in the right mindset and the exact head space to begin, or I just can't!
