Jihyo scoffs, looking at you from across the table as you bite down on your inner cheek, lips threatening to break out in a full smile. From the glint in her dark eyes, you can tell she’s either having the same struggle as you or the champagne is finally getting to her. Every Saturday morning, you and her place the same bet, and you usually win, as there is nothing Jihyo loves to laugh at more than snobby rich kids making fools out of themselves to appear superior.

Now that you really think about it, though, you ponder as you take a sip out of your own glass and let the rosé liquid burn your throat, it must be a tad hypocritical for those around you.
