It's odd being casual friends with antis who know I'm more laissez-faire about ships and kinks (they don't know just how many "bad" ships and kinks I have and if they did they would in all likelihood block me, but they know I'm not an anti) because a ton of them secretly have ships and interests that they know would get them crucified but feel safe enough to discuss with me. And like, most of them are very tame by my standards, but they're like "omg I know this is bad but I do sort of like Gumworth" (an Ace Attorney ship many antis detest due to it being boss/employee and the boss being rude to the employee in canon, but is VERY tame as far as I'm concerned). Or they'll confess to liking Minecraft youtubers or Schlatt or some super offensive Adult Swim show. It just makes me sad that they're so trapped in this. Like so many of them probably feels like "I must be the only one that feels this way, I just can't be caught" when so many else of them also feel that way! There is definitely an element of hypocrisy to it, but I feel like anyone in a high-control circle is gonna be that way. "I have to perform the Right behaviour. Performing the Right behaviour means ostracising anyone who deviates. I might even believe quite confidently my behaviour is Right. But many of my thoughts deviate. And I can never confess this." It used to annoy me a lot, now it just makes me sad. Glad I was never an anti.

the web.sp.am site is a research honeypot created to trap ill-behaved spiders, consisting of billions of nonsense garbage pages that look like real content to a dumb robot

OpenAI is training its newest ChatGPT model using this incredibly lame content, having consumed over 3 million pages and counting...

It's absurd and horrifying at the same time.
